As I departed Gordeon's ramen shop, I maintained a purposeful pace, my gaze traversing the expanse of buildings and individuals that lay within my line of sight. I couldn't help but acknowledge the harmonious interactions among diverse beings, a sight that held a certain charm. In Vermina, too, there existed a range of citizens belonging to different races, but it was evident that humans held numerical prominence. Transitioning from the lively array of eateries, the ambiance gradually shifted, taking on a more suggestive aura. It dawned on me that I had arrived at the entrance to the brothel establishment.
The day hadn't yet transitioned into evening, but a multitude of women stood along the pathway, their gestures carrying a hint of suggestion as they attempted to entice the men passing by. Some took on a more assertive approach, managing to coax unsuspecting men into their abodes. Others adopted a passive stance, positioned before their establishments, discreetly assessing potential customers. Among them, a particular woman locked eyes with me, a gaze that didn't escape my notice. Then, a lady who appeared to be overseeing the affairs signaled me with a friendly smile, inviting me to approach. I cautiously obliged her gesture.
"Noble sir, your presence graces us with light. Within these chambers, time itself seems to dance to a different tune. Shall we cast aside the weight of the world and explore the realm of shared fantasies?"
My heart raced within my chest, refusing to be calmed. While I was no stranger to Cordelia's seductive techniques, ones she had meticulously 'trained' me in when she was alive, it seemed that I lacked true expertise in this realm. Yet I resolved to maintain a facade of composure.
"Could you perhaps enlighten me about your establishment's procedures and offerings? I'd like to ensure they align with my preferences," I inquired, attempting to project an air of confidence. I noticed the name of this establishment is 'Velvet Serenade'.
"Of course, please step inside," she responded with a pleasant demeanor. Instead of forcefully guiding me, she gently took hold of my right arm and allowed me to lead the way. It was a subtle yet welcome gesture that reminded me of Cordelia's tactics, which she had often employed to seduce me.
"May I have the pleasure of knowing your name, sir? Her feminine and polite manner had a disarming effect, making it difficult for me to maintain my guard. This woman was truly a master of seduction.
"Percival Blackthorn. You may address me as Percival," I replied, accompanied by a subtle smile.
"Is this your first visit to our establishment, sir?" She initiated a bit of small talk as we made our way down the hallway.
"Indeed, it is. My curiosity was piqued when I heard about this city from my colleagues."
"Well, then we consider it an honor to provide our services for your inaugural visit, Sir Percival," she responded, her expression betraying a hint of genuine surprise. Whether she truly felt that way or was a consummate actress, I couldn't be entirely certain.
She led me to a cozy private alcove, delineated by wooden partitions, furnished with plush, inviting seats adorned with ample cushions large enough to accommodate two or three people. A small table occupied the space, and a well-dressed waiter promptly approached us, poised to take our orders.
"In this establishment, Sir Percival, esteemed guests like yourself usually select beverages both for their own enjoyment and for the company of the waiting ladies, such as myself. These moments often involve engaging in meaningful conversations," she gently elaborated, her words carrying a subtle allure.
"I understand. So, this is what you meant by 'exploring the realm of shared fantasies' outside, Miss.. " I inquired, but realized I hadn't asked her name.
