As anticipated, the sleep deprivation had a profound impact on my abilities at the marketplace. I found myself making a number of minor errors that garnered frustrating complaints from my customers. Recognizing that pushing myself in this state would only result in diminished productivity, I resolved to close my stall earlier than usual and make my way back to the guild lodge.

Even as I sought to find rest, I found myself unable to escape the vivid image of Cordelia playfully teasing me in my memory. I couldn't help but wonder how she fared today. Surely, the tavern where she plied her trade would only open during the lunch hour. Should I make plans to meet with her today? I contemplated the conflicting emotions that stirred within me—excitement intertwined with a trace of trepidation—as I grappled with the decision.

Somehow, I managed to find solace in sleep, oblivious to the passing of time and the growling hunger in my belly. As I awoke, the sun had already reached its zenith, signaling the afternoon's arrival. It was then that my senses were reminded of the nourishment my body craved. Making my way to the bustling market, I sought out the vendors offering light snacks to appease my hunger.

Thankfully, the rejuvenating sleep had somewhat cleared my mind from the overwhelming thoughts of Cordelia. While her presence still lingered, it no longer consumed my every waking thought, allowing me to focus on other matters at hand. It was in these moments that I began to truly comprehend the wisdom behind the words of men who claimed that love had the power to turn one into a fool.

Satiated by the modest repast and quenched by a refreshing sip, I proceeded towards the guild to arrange the procurement of goods for my upcoming journey. It had become a prudent practice to secure my orders in advance, for the unpredictable nature of supply and demand often resulted in missed opportunities for profit in distant cities. Failing to secure the desired goods before setting off could result in missed opportunities for profitable transactions in the next city I ventured to.

As the night settled in, I made the decision to forgo dining at the Pixie Blessing and instead set up my rented spot for the evening. Although the flow of customers was not as abundant as during the daytime, there were still potential buyers to be found. I carefully curated my selection of goods to cater to the needs of the night, offering items such as aromatic candles, soothing herbs, and calming teas. Gradually, I attracted a small but steady stream of customers, allowing me to generate modest profits from my sales.

Upon concluding my final transaction, I made my way towards the Pixie Blessing, taking note that it was not yet closing time. I confess, my footsteps quickened with the desire to catch a glimpse of her countenance.
