"Kelce?" Audrey climbed off the bed.

"I was just curious when he's coming back. I was wondering if I could get a turn with him—"

"What are you doing here?" She practically snapped.

"Sarah asked me to come over and fill the void you created when you left." He laughed.

Audrey, however, did not laugh.

"I'm kidding." Kelce said seriously. "I'm just wondering what you're doing?"

"I..." she looked back at Rafe's bed. "I am having a chat with my ex boyfriend."

"Okay." Kelce nodded skeptically. "And the crying is because...?"

Audrey rubbed her face with the palms of her hands.

"Are you just going to end things?" Kelce asked because she wasn't filling the silence. "That's why you're crying."

Audrey shook her head sadly.

"I just think if you tell him you want nothing more... he might start to... you know... use again?" He explained. "So are you going to—"

"I don't know yet." Audrey said honestly, a prominent lump clogging her throat. "I don't know. Because it's Rafe, you know? It's Rafe."

"Sure." Kelce nodded.

"And I care about him a lot and we have so much chemistry. But if we get back together and he cheats again, I don't think I could handle that." She said sadly, some tears in her eyes. "So I don't know."

"Hey." Rafe said from behind Kelce. Kelce stepped out of the doorway so Rafe could walk in. "What's going on— hey. What's wrong?" He noticed Audrey's said face.

He balanced everything in one hand and put his other one on her shoulder.

Audrey shook her head. "No. Nothing. I don't know."

Rafe looked over at his friend with confusion.

"I was telling her not to break your heart." Kelce explained.

"Well, stop." Rafe snapped at him, wrapping his arm over Audrey's shoulder. "You're upsetting her."

"What?" Kelce gasped. "I'm trying to help you out."

"I don't care. Look at what you did." Rafe gestured to Audrey.

"Really, Rafe. I'm fine." Audrey wiped her eyes.

"That didn't work on me months ago, and it's not working now." He explained, beginning to guide her back to his room. "Kelce, go away."

"She was already crying when I opened the door." Kelce offered.

"So that's when you help, rather than make it worse." Rafe snapped, shutting his door, where they heard Kelce scoff from the other side. "God." He whispered, setting down the food on his desk and bringing Audrey to his bed.

He sat down in it, but she stood there sadly.

"Sit." He tapped the bed beside him. "Sit." He repeated when she didn't.

Audrey sighed, falling onto the bed right next to him.

"Talk to me."

Audrey rubbed her face and brushed her hair back.

"What upset you before Kelce?"

Audrey shrugged. "I don't know. Everything?" She laughed. Rafe didn't understand. "This." She swiped her hand between the two of them. "That." She rubbed her hand in a circle in the air above the bed.
