"Janet, you have to pick one." Gil held two pictures in front of me.
"Gil, I already said I don't care. Just choose one."
"I can't, you have to. You haven't even looked at them." I sighed and closed my magazine. Looking at the pictures.I didn't care but they wanted me to choose one for my show for the benefit.
"That one. Now leave." He sat them down.
"What the hell is your problem? You've been excited about this benefit since you found out about it and now you're pissy."
"Leave me alone, Gil." He snatched my magazine.
"This is about Toni, isn't it?"
"No." I reached for the magazine and he moved it away.
"Yes, it is. Yesterday, you were happy. Today you pick up the kids and now you're pissy."
"My kids are crazy and can work my nerves. Simple."
"No, not simple. I've seen them work your nerves, you're never like this. What happened?" I sighed as he sat down next to me.
"I got the divorce papers yesterday."
"Divorce papers?! What the hell?!"
"Gil, chill."
"No. The fuck you mean divorce papers?"
"Toni and I are getting a divorce?"
"Yes."
"Why?" I stayed silent. Honestly, I didn't know why we were divorcing. I just knew we were.
"Because the love just isn't there anymore."
"That's a damn lie and I know it is, but if you ain't tell me then fine." I looked at him. "Don't look at me like that. You know you're lying. You and Toni are as close as a married couple can get. The love you two share is indescribable and so very rare."
"Gil, it doesn't matter how much love two people have, it can leave. People can grow apart."
"Sure, but you and Toni aren't those people." He stood up. "Look, I don't know what happened between you two but it better had been something huge for you two to be considering divorce." He grabbed his coat. "Love you, boo."
"Love you." He left out. I sat up on the couch. The house was so empty while the kids were at school or with Toni. She let me stay in the house and she went back to the old one. It was hard though. There were so many memories in this house.
I stood up and went to my bedroom. Looking at the bed, Toni's side was how she left it. I didn't even move her pillows or anything off her nightstand. Her closet wasn't even changed. She took some clothes with her but not much. I don't know what she's been doing for the past year. I guess she's just buying whatever she needs or just washing and rewearing.
Going to her side of the bed, I looked at her nightstand. She had small pictures of me there. Inside her drawer, she had a little notebook. Inside, there were little notes about me; things I've said and stuff she wanted to get me. She always did sweet things like that. I sighed and put it back.
I laid back on the bed and thought to myself; how did we get to this point? How did the love of my life and I drift so far apart? What happened to us? I curled up on my side and closed my eyes.
"Janet." I felt my body shake. "Janet, baby."
"Hmm?"
"Get up." I turned over and saw Toni standing over me.
"What is it?" She pulled me up. "It's our anniversary." I smiled.
"Oh, yeah." She kissed my lips.
"I have a big present for you." I looked down and saw that we were naked.
"It is big." We laughed as I grabbed it. "Is this my present?"
"If you want it to be."
"I do." I wrapped my arms around her neck. She kissed my chest and neck before kissing me deeply.
"Mmmm." She grabbed my ass and slapped it. I pulled away.
"You gone kill a nigga."
"Mmm, you better not. I need this for life." I pulled her onto the bed. "Give me that good loving, daddy."
She spread my legs and placed herself at my entrance. "Damn, you wet as fuck."
"For you, daddy. Only for you."
"Good." She kissed my lips and pushed herself into me.
"Mmmm." I broke the kiss. "Fuck."
"Shit, you feel good as fuck."
"Fuck me, daddy." She went harder. "Yes. Just like that."

"I love you too." I threw my head back as she kissed my neck. Everything just felt so amazing.
Toni
"Fuck! You feel so good, daddy." She bounced up and down on me as I held her waist.
"Yeah, you like this shit, don't you?"
"Yes, daddy. I love it so fucking much. Oh my god." I bent my knees and matched her speed. "Oh my god! Daddyyyyyy!" I watched her breasts bounce.
"Yeah, cum on daddy's dick."
"Oh, Toni. Toni." She looked at me. "Toni! Wake up!"
I felt my body being shaken violently. "Toni, wake up!" I shot up and looked around. Janet was standing over me.
"Hey."
"I thought I was going to have to get some cold water to wake you up." I chuckled inwardly.
"What's up?"
"The school has been trying to call you and called me. Something happened at the school with Jordan."
"Oh."
"Come on." I could tell by her tone that it wasn't good news.
"Umm, I'll be down in a minute."
"Okay." She looked at the cover and swallowed. "Hurry up." She left out. I watched her ass move in her leggings. Damn she was sexy.
