"Good. Now let go of me and wash up." I tried to step back but she held onto me. "Baby. Let me go."

"Girl." I took her arms from around me and handed her a washcloth. We both washed up and got out. I had a big day planned for us and was very excited to show her what I got her. I had gotten fully dressed and was waiting downstairs for her to come down. To this day, I will never understand why it takes her so long to get ready. "Janet! Baby, come one before the sunlight leaves us!" She came down the stairs whining.
"Baby, I can't find my little purse I bought. I need it to put my lip gloss and things in."
"Why don't you use one of your other purses?"
"They don't match my outfit and they're too big."
"Then why did you bring them?"
"In case I needed them."

"Okay." She came towards me with a smile. "Let's go." She grabbed my hand and we left out.
"Do you want to walk?"
"Yeah. Missy did say I need to walk as much as I can since I haven't given birth in a while."
"Understandable." We headed towards the sidewalk and walked in silence for a little while. I held Janet's hand as she walked and looked around. She would smile every so often and take deep breaths. "What you thinking about?"
