Janet
"I ought to knock you upside your head. Had your mother scared to death.""She should've let you sit there in that jail a little longer."
"She's better than me."
"Definitely." I sat on the couch with my tea as Mama E and my mother yelled at Tommy. He slept on the air mattress last night because the plan of what to do with him had to be finalized.
"You was out there thinking you grown? Hmm?" asked Mama E. "Boy!" Tommy jumped. "You better answer me. You think you grown?"
"No ma'am."
"Yes, you do. Stop lying. Kathy I know this boy ain't just lie to me."
"That's what I heard."
"I'm not ly..." mother smacked him in his mouth.
"Oww.""Ain't nobody ask you nothing. Shut up." Tommy held his mouth and sat back.
"So what possessed you to go out there and deal drugs? Now your dumbass got charges against you. Now your parents have to get a lawyer for your ungrateful behind. Ohh." Mama E smacked him in his head.
"Your mother is pregnant and you stressing her out like this. You better be happy I'm older and can't get in your behind like I want to. Actually, you know what...Janet, where your brothers?"
"Downstairs with Toni."
"Go get them." I sat my cup down and went downstairs to where they were playing pool.
"Hey."
"What's up?" asked Jackie.
"Mother wants everyone upstairs." Toni, my brothers and her brother set their things down and followed me upstairs." I sat back down on the couch and grabbed my cup.
"What's up, mother?" asked Jackie.
"Go get something and get your nephew together." They all looked at each other.
"Alright."
"Dunk..." Jackie looked at me. I pointed to a closet. He grabbed something.
"Tommy, let's go." Tommy looked at me and all his uncles. I shrugged. "THOMAS!" Tommy jumped up and walked in front of Jackie.
"Ahhhhh!" Tommy's yells spread across the house. I'm so happy the kids went out with TJ. "Ahhhhh! Okay! Okay!" It went in for another minute before Jackie brought Tommy back in by his collar.
"Apologize to your mother." said Tito.
"Sorry, mom." Jackie tightened his grip.
"You know better."
"I'm so sorry, mom."
"For?"
"For disobeying and selling drugs."
"And?"
"And..." Jackie tightened his grip. "And for stressing you out and making you worry and tricking you and getting arrested and not being respectful." I sighed and looked at Mama E and mother. They gave a nod.
"I forgive you, sweetie." Jackie let go of his shirt.
"Go sit down." He walked back to his seat. Before he sat down Jermaine hit the back of his head.
"Don't make my sister stressed out again like that or I'll kill you." Tommy looked at them with fear. Mikey bucked at him and Tommy jumped.
"You got it?"
"Yes, sir."
"Good." They all sat down.
"Janet, Toni, what's the plan?" I sat my cup back down and sat up.
