"Okay, y'all got everything?" Janet asked TJ and Tommy.
"Yeah, mom. We got everything." TJ smiled and held his bags. Today we had their eighteenth birthday party and they decided to go to a hotel party with a few chaperones. Tamar and Trina agreed to be chaperones too just to ensure that no stupid stuff happens.
"Y'all be careful, okay baby." She hugged TJ.
"I'll be careful, Mom. I promise. I'll call when we get there."
"Good. Let me know you're safe and if at any moment you guys want to come home, no matter the time, you call me, okay and I'll come get you."
"Okay, mom." TJ hugged her again. "Love you, mom."
"Love you too, baby." He went out to his friend's car. Janet looked at Tommy and held his wrists. "You be safe, you hear me."
"I hear you, mom."
"I'm serious. I don't need to be getting no calls about you being hurt, harmed or leaving this world. I mean it."
"I know." She hugged him. He kept his arms at his side. I flicked him on his forehead and he bent down to hug her.
"I love you, sweetie."
"I love you too, mom." He left out. She looked at Josiah and Jordan.
"Listen to your aunts."
"Okay." She popped the side of both their heads.
"Don't do anything stupid."
"Oww."
"Love you guys." They both hugged her.
"Love you, mom." They ran out to Tamar's car. Janet stood at the door and watched them drive off. She sighed and I already knew what was about to happen. I went and hugged her when I saw a few tears fall.
"I know."
"They're so grown up. I can't believe it."
"I know." I brushed her hair. She sniffles a few times. "We still got two babies though, okay." We looked over at Miyah and Lia on the couch.
"You're right." She stood up straight. "I still can't believe we had two sets of twins." I laughed. She walked away from the door and I closed it.
"I know." She walked over to them and sat down.
"Hi, girls."
"Hey, mommy." Miyah moved right next to her and hugged up under her.
"So how about we have some mommy daughter fun? You guys want to do something?" Miyah stood up.
"Oh, let's do a sleepover. We can make s'mores and do makeovers and paint our nails and talk about people we like." She whispered the last part.
"Okay. You want to do that Lia?"
"Yeah." They looked excited.
"Okay, got get everything ready."
"Can we use your stuff mommy and sleep in your room?"
"Sure." They ran off.
"Where am I sleeping?" I sat next to her and pulled her onto my lap.
"You can sleep in the guest room for tonight."
"Hmmm."
"Please, you can sleep with me eveootber night."
"I'm gone hold you to that." She laughed. "Let me go get my stuff." I went upstairs and overheard the girls talking excitedly.
