"The baby is a girl." said Amelia.

"No it's a boy." said Jordan.

"It's a girl."

"A boy."

"Girl!"

"Boy!"

"Eww, your breath stinks." TJ laughed and high fived her. The two of them wanted a girl while Josiah, Jordan, and Amiyah wanted a boy.

"Shut up."

"Ohhh..you make me mad. That's why I want another sister. You are a stinky, gross boy." Toni and I watched as they argued back and forth. We decided to bring them along for my appointment. Tommy didn't want to come and Jordan had something with the middle school yearbook.

"Stupid."

"Ugly."

"That's enough." said Toni. "Whatever the baby is, it doesn't need to be stressed by you guys acting stupid."
They quieted down. "Now sit down." TJ sat down with Amiyah and Amelia on each of his legs while Josiah sat in the other chair.

"Sorry, mama."

"It's okay. Just not so much noise." The door opened.

"Auntie Missy!" They all got up and hugged her.

"My babies. Whoa. Miyah and Lia, look how big y'all are. TJ, you're as tall as Toni. Joshy! You have a mustache."

"Yeah." He laughed.

"Awww." She hugged them again. "Where's Tommy and Jordan?" She asked me.

"Jordan has the middle school yearbook meeting and don't get started on Tommy."

"What's wrong?"

"We'll talk."

"Okay. So what's going on? I flew in from London for this."

"Well, girl. I'm pregnant."

"Wha..." Missy shook her head. "Wait, last I heard y'all were getting a divorce."

"Yeah, that's not happening. We talked and went to counseling." said Toni.

"How long ago was that?" Toni scratched her neck. I scratched my ear.

"Three months." I mumbled.

"I'm sorry. What?"

"Three months." She smirked.

"Y'all nasty. It reminds me of when..."

"Mixed company, Missy." She looked at the kids.

"Oh right. Sorry." She cleaned her hands. "Well, let's check everything."

"Eyes closed!" Toni said and all the kids closed their eyes. TJ even covered Miyah and Lia's eyes with his hands. Josiah covered his own. "Good." I stood up and took my bottoms off before getting back on the table. I put my legs up and Missy covered me with a bigger sheet. "It's all good now." The kids opened their eyes.

"What she doing, mommy?" asked Lia.

"She is just checking to make sure everything is okay."

"Okay." They sat and talked amongst each other. I smiled while watching them. Amiyah was showing TJ something on her phone about different painters. That was her thing.

She loved art. Anything related to drawing or photography, she was on top of it. Amelia was joking with Josiah. The two of them were my pranksters and comedians. Watching them made me think of how at one point, I never thought I'd have children, now I'm having my seventh. Funny how life works.
