School Again

~A Week Later ~ September 3rd ~ Jade’s POV~

“Miss Jade, it’s time to wake up for school”

Sighing, I pulled the pillow off of my head. “Ten more minutes please, Jarvis?”

“It’s already been ten minues past when Miss Potts asked me to wake you, I let you sleep in”

“Five more minutes?” I asked hopefully. 

“Miss Jade…” 

I groaned and sat up. “Fine…” After I sat there for a few minutes trying to wake up, I finally got up and got dressed. I fucking hate school… I don’t want to go, I fucking hate it. Yawning, I left my room and went to the kitchen. This school year was going to be so much different than last year… Last year, Peter and I had a routine: We’d leave the tower for school, go to the diner and get a muffin and a coffee for each of us, walk to school while eating and talking and then we’d split ways at school. We had the same routine on the way back. But this year, I would be going to school with Natalie, Harley, Joce, Theo, Grace, and Peter, but instead of having Peter as my best friend, it was very awkward between us. 

Since Joce has become close, not only with me and Natalie, but everyone else. She decided to move to Manhattan full time and go back to school, she also had friends here so that was another reason she moved. Tony offered to pay for her apartment, or let her stay at the tower if she wanted, but Joce declined at first. He respected the fact that she didn’t want to live at the tower, but wouldn’t take no as an answer about him paying for the apartment so she ended up agreeing. Pepper had decided to foster Natalie since she wasn’t eighteen yet and her parents gave up their parental rights, so it allowed her to send Natalie to school, which she was not happy about. 

When Pepper was enrolling Grace and Natalie into Midtown, they both did placement tests and Grace got to skip ahead a few grades so instead of being in middle school, she was going into high school with the rest of us, which I wasn’t happy about. It was bad enough that I had to live with her, now I have to go to school with her…

“Are you actually going to eat breakfast here this year or not?” Tony asked when I walked into the kitchen. 

I shook my head. “Nope, gonna hit the diner”

He rolled his eyes and then looked down at my outfit. “At least you’re wearing something normal”

“Yeah well I didn’t feel like getting dress coded”

Harley, Natalie, Peter, and Grace walked in, all of them were tired but Grace. She was full of energy and very excited. 

“Calm down kid, high school isn’t all it's cracked up to be”

She nodded. “I know, but I love school so I’m excited anyways!”

I rolled my eyes. Nobody likes school, and anyone that does needs to be shot. 

“Nice bag Jadey” Harley said. His and Natalie’s injuries from the crash were both almost completely healed, and they were able to walk, and in Harley’s case use his arm. 

I smirked, swinging the bag off of my shoulder, I showed the others. It was a black bag with drawstrings and the design was of an angry black cat, the lettering under it said "Dangerous Pussy"

Tony crossed his arms. “Really Jade? I thought you were going back to being normal Jadey? Take it off”

“But I like it”

“It’s true though...” I heard Harley mumble. I glared at him and he just smirked. Surprisingly and thankfully, Peter didn’t hear him. 

“Go change your bag” Tony said. “You’re not going to school with that, plus all your books won’t fit in it”
