Y/n's pov:
A few hours had passed and Kara still wasn't here.
I was still doing my work while taking care of Carter. Winn noticed that i was busy and took Carter to our mother's office.
Winn and Carter started to play video games on the TV's in my mother's office
I finally decided to take a break on my work and check on Carter.
Carter looked so happy. I smiled at him. I then heard rushed footsteps behind me
I turned around and saw Kara "Carter, are you alright?" Kara said out of breath. "Miss Grant, i am so sorry I was gone." Kara said facing me
I titled my head a little "It's Alright, Kara. And please, call me Y/n." I say with a warm smile. Kara nodded in response
"Are you hungry for some real food?" Kara asked "I'm gonna get some lunch" Kara said turning around to walk away. Winn stood up and slowly walked up to Kara.
I sat on the seat beside Carter. Carter gave me a controller offering me to play.
I took it and started to play the game with Carter.It's been so long since I've played video games.
Around 15 minutes later, i heard my phone ring. I gave the controller to Winn who was by my side coaching me.
I grabbed my phone and checked the contact. There it was again, Maya's contact. "Who is it Y/n?" Carter asked looking up at me.
"It's.. Maya. You want to talk to her?" I said and he nodded excitedly taking my phone.
"Hey, Maya!" I heard Carter say with a huge smile on his face. I just look at him with a sad look on my face.
"You okay? You seem.. Sad." He asked. I turn my head to him
"Yeah. I'm okay" I nodded. Kara then came in and gave me and Carter our lunch along with milkshakes.
"One thing i have learned is when someone says they're okay, they're not okay." Winn said making me laugh.
"I'm fine, Winn." I repeated. Winn just nodded at my response. I looked at Carter who has a big smile on his face while talking to Maya.
Kara then left again. I spend most of the day with my brother Carter, doing my work, and talking to Winn. Winn and Carter became friends.
Ever since Maya cheated on me with my best friend, i had a hard time trusting people.
A few hours later, It was nighttime. I went to get pizza outside the building for me, Carter, and Winn.
I got back to CatCo and into my mother's office. I see someone sitting there doing his work.
"Hi, James right?" I asked, putting the pizza down on the table. I scanned the room, not seeing any sign of my brother or Winn.
"Yeah, I'm James. You're Y/n, Miss Grants daughter." I nodded
"Where's Winn? He's supposed to be watching my brother." I said with a concerned and worried tone.
"I saw him go to the bathroom. When i got here Carter was gone.." James said then his phone rang.
I see Winn walk up "Hey Y/n.. where's Carter?" He asks once he looked scanned the office.
"I was going to ask you that." I said noticing him look up at the TV.
"No, no, no.. please tell me he did not go down there to meet Supergirl!" He said.
Kara's pov:
"Scanning the train. I don't see the bomb" i said on comms. I used my X-ray vision to scan the train not seeing any sign of the bomb.
"Supergirl, there's a bomb on Lord Air terminal." Director Henshaw said through comms.
"I'm on it!" I said then flew on my way to the terminal
Y/n's Pov:
Me and Winn were rushing to the train but was stopped by a lady.
"We have to get on that train" Winn said pointing at the train.
"Then let me see your ticket." The lady said
"You don't understand. We need to get on that train." Winn said. I scanned the place looking for any sign of Carter.
I see Winn walk a little further to the side. I followed his eyes and saw a man by the door that just closed.
The train then took off with my brother probably inside.
Winn was on the phone and i was trying to call Carter. After multiple rings, he didn't answer. I tried again. No answer.
Kara's pov:
Winn called me and said that Knox was on the train. And worst part is that Carter was on the train.
I caught up to the train and got inside from the roof. As i got down i was met with Carter with Maxwell Lord.
"I'm starting to think you have a thing for me." Maxwell laughed and turned to me.
"Ethan Knox is on board." I said getting to the point.
"No. That's impossible.." he said walking up to me
"You have to stop this train."
"I can't. It's automated."
"Something's wrong, isn't it?" Carter asked
"There is a problem, but I'm here to fix it. You look brave and strong, can you help me?" I asked Carter. Carter nodded in response.
"Good, i need you and Mr. Lord to get all of these passengers to the very back of the train." I said "are you ready to be a hero?" I asked him
"Yes" he said and i nodded in response.
As Max was leading the passengers to the back of the train, i go and find Knox using my X-ray vision.
Once i see him i go to where he is. He locked the door on the very front of the train, but that didn't stop me from tearing it down using my super strength.
Y/n's pov:
Me and Winn wait outside. Winn told me that there's a bomb on that train making me worry more
I had my head down, my elbows on my thighs, with my hands on my head for support.
All i could think of was my brother. I couldn't lose him. He's all i have.
Around 30 minutes, Winn taps my head. I looked up and not only i saw Winn, i saw my brother with Supergirl
"Carter, oh my God. Do not ever go off like that" i said hugging him. I looked up at Supergirl and Winn mouthing a thank you.
