Kara's pov:

I wake up in a bed i didn't know. I sat up panicked thinking i was under the Black Mercy again.

But this time the room was different. It was much colder and the walls has white and some had a marble look on them. And the bed was so soft asking with the blankets.

I relaxed myself realizing i stayed with Y/n last night. Yet, Y/n was no where to be seen.

I then hear the door open and it was Y/n with a wooden tray.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." Y/n joked. "I made you breakfast." She said gently placing down the tray on the bed.

The tray had blueberry pancakes, bacon and eggs, strawberries and raspberries on a bowl, avocado toasts and my go-to latte from Noonan's.

I looked at Y/n with a shocked face. "What. When did you have the time to make all these" i said looking back down on the food.

"It's 10 am, Kara." Y/n said looking at a clock on her bedside table. "And don't worry about work. I told my mother to give you a day off. And i already did the assignment's she assigned for you. Just relax." She explained.

"Seriously, hour so you have the time for all of this?" I asked again then took a bite of the bacon and eggs.

I moaned as i ate the bacon and eggs.
Y/n chuckled. "I ask myself that sometimes." I heard her but i was focused on eating the food.

Y/n's pov:

Kara stuffs her face with the food. Kara then lifted her head up to look at me. "What?" She said muffled because of the food before swallowing them.

"What?" I said confused.

"You have this look." She said pointing at my face.

"I don't have a look." I laughed but Kara just stared at me with a small smile.

"Now you have a look." I said smiling.

"I do not!" She said then took another bite of the blueberry pancakes. "I'm surprised you even fit all these in one tray." She said causing me to laugh.

"Well you finish up here, i prepared you some clothes on the bathroom. You can just leave the plates downstairs in the sink, my maid will take care of them. And i have to pick Carter up in a half an hour." I said standing up.

"Can i come with?" She asked. I smiled

"Sure." I said making her squeal. I went downstairs and waited for Kara and 10 minutes later she was already dressed with her hair wet and she had already brought the plates down and washed them leaving me surprised.

We went outside and hopped in my car then drove to Carter's friends house.

I see Carter with his friend Matthew and with Matthew's mom, Mrs. Miller playing outside, on what looks like tag.

I parked my car and got out with Kara following. Carter spots me and runs up to me with a hug yelling mine and Kara's name.

"Hey, bud! How was the sleepover?" I asked him with a smile.

"It was great! Matthew and i had so much fun! We played video games and board games and tag. Even Matthew's mom played with us" Carter said after hugging Kara. This was the happiest i ever got to see him.

"That's does sound fun." I said then notice Mrs. Miller walked up to me.

"Hello, dear. Carter is such a sweet boy. My and son and him had so much fun." She said with a smile.

"Thank you Mrs. Miller." I said "This is Kara Danvers. My friend. Kara this is Mrs. Miller." I introduced.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Danvers." She said holding out her hand.

"It is very nice to meet you too, Mrs. Miller." Kara shook Mrs. Miller's hand.

"Thank you Mrs. Miller for looking after my brother. I would love to stay and chat, but our mother wants to see him." I said and we said our goodbyes then left.

I dropped Carter off and dropped Kara at her apartment. "Are you sure you want to be alone tonight?" I asked Kara when we entered her apartment.

"I'll be okay, Y/n." She she. A window was then opened making us jump.

"What was that?" I asked walking up closer to Kara.

"I don't know. It could just probably be the wind." Kara assumed.

"It would be so easy to kill you." A voice was heard. We turned around and we saw Non. I grabbed my gun from my holster and pointed it at him. It was kind of stupid of me pointing a gun to a bulletproof alien.

"Non." Kara said. Her first was clenched and her guard was up.

"I need you to come with me." Non said.

"You're not going with him, right?" I said to Kara.

"You have no part of this, human. I come for Astra. Not myself." He said. Kara relaxed her fists.

Kara turns to me. "I'll be alright." Kara said then left with Non. I stayed in Kara's apartment waiting for her.
