Y/n's pov:

Hank and Winn was talking about the satellites problem and that Non had something to do with it.

I was in a corner that i leaned my back on and i was zoning out. Alex yelling at me triggered terrible memories with my father.

Flashback:

I was doing my homework when father came in. He slammed the door shut causing me to jump and snap my head at him.

I could smell mixed alcohols. He was drinking. I then heard the stairs creak. My eyes went wide realizing Carter woke up.

I see my father look at me. I run up the stairs causing my father to chase after me. I see Carter and immediately picked him up and go in a room, locking it.

I held my 2 year old brother close to me. A loud bang was heard just outside the door over and over again causing my brother to cry. My father was trying to kick the door down.

I placed Carter down in a corner and moved stuff infront of him to hide him from father.

My heart was beating, fast. My breathing got heavier by the second. The door was knocked down moments later.

I see my father with a belt in hand, he gripped the belt. I had no where to go. No where to run.

I was pinned on the wall. My father's hand was gripping my throat. I couldn't breathe.

I felt his hand release my throat making me fall to the ground. I was trying to catch my breath until i felt my cheek get hit by the belt.

I sobbed and tried to run outside the room. My father grabbed the back of my shirt and threw me on the wall where i hit my head and my side on the corner of the table.

I drop down to the floor, having no energy to get up.

Yet, all i could think of was my brother. He could hear and see what was going on.

I felt blood trickling from my head. I felt another hit but this time it was on my arm to my chest causing me to scream in pain.

Tears were flowing, but that didn't change anything. Father hit me again. Then again. Then again. Until i feel my eyelids get heavier.

Then everything went black. I woke up in a hospital bed with several bruises and stitches.

A nurse came in. It was Nurse Evans. She always takes care of me when I'm in the hospital. I mean that's her job, but even when she gets off work, the second she finds out I'm here, she comes and takes care of me. Sometimes i wished she was my mom.

"Hey, how are feeling?" She asked with a soft yet worried tone.

I stayed silent. "Sweetie.. This is the 3rd time this month you were brought here. Are those kids bothering you again?" She asked.

I told them that i was just getting bullied by other kids in my school. If i told them it was my dad, he will come for me, and worse my brother.

"Yeah.." I said weakly and she gave me a small smile.

"Did your father talk to the principal? He could at least enroll you to another school." She said.

"He talked to the principal multiple times. I'm fine Miss. I have to get back to my brother." I said trying to sit up but ending up to feel pain on every inch of my body.

I groaned out and the nurse help me up. "Take it easy. Unfortunately you're not be able to go back home. You have major injuries and you have to stay here for a few weeks." She explained.

"But my brother. I can't leave my brother." I said worried for Carter.

"He'll be fine. You father's with him- no you don't understand! He's.. he's really busy with work." I cut her off.

"Then I'll have someone there to take care of him." I hesitated but nodded.

"What's really going on, honey? The last time you were here, you almost died. I'm worried about you." She said sitting down on the edge of my bed.

"Like i said. It's just some kids." I said lying to her.

"Okay.. I'll let you rest." She said then left my room.

End of flashback

I hear Alex's and Kara's voice pulling me back to reality. I blinked multiple times before facing them.

"You okay? You zoned out." Alex said with a slight frown.

"Yeah. I'm just thinking." I said before giving them a quick smile.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier." Alex apologized making Kara look at Alex with a frown.

"You yelled at her? Why?" Kara asked her sister before looking at me.

"I thought Hank pulled me out and i told Y/n to stop me. I got angry." Alex explained.

"Alex you- It's fine. Don't worry about it. I completely understand." I cut Kara off.

"Let's move." I heard Hank order. Alex left. Kara gave me a quick look before following behind Alex.
