Y/n's pov:
Alex had asked me to check up on Kara because she was acting different. A bad different.
I'm next to Kara's desk looking at the monitors on the wall while waiting for Kara.
I heard the elevator ding behind me. I turned around and saw Kara. She dressed like.. she dressed like my mother.
She walked in not even acknowledging me. "What? How... That's Cat's elevator." Winn said walking up to Kara's desk.
"It is absolutely ridiculous of her to have her own personal elevator, plus horrible for the environment." Kara said and i slightly agreed with her on that.
Just then i heard my mother call Kara's name. "You are literally impervious to bullets and I'm worried for your safely right now. Okay?" Winn said as my mother walked in.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" She asked.
"You're latte, Ms. Grant." Kara gave her her latte as Kara and Siobhan raced to my mother. "Walking from the main elevator takes an extra 90 seconds, which means you're latte's 90 seconds colder."
I walked up to Winn. "You're seeing this, right?" He whispered.
"It's like Kara's becoming my mother." I whispered back to him and he nodded in response.
"Brazen. That's a new color on you. I don't mind it. Yet. What do you want?" My mother asked and Siobhan butted in.
"I've got a scoop for you. Can we talk in private." Siobhan said.
My mother just walked in her office and Siobhan following her. I walked up Kara "Okay, what's wrong. Really." I said crossing my arms. But Kara stood silent. I then realized she was eavesdropping on my mother and Siobhan's conversation. So, i let her do her thing.
Kara had a smirk on her once Siobhan stormed out of my mother's office. "Kara?" I said.
She looked at me and her smirk turned into a soft smile. What is going on? "Yeah?" She asked.
"Alex said you've been acting different in the.. at work." I said. Kara just shrugged.
"I'm fine." She said.
"You're not fine, Kara." I said pointing out the obvious. She sighed in response.
"Y/n, I'm fine. I promise." She said. I sighed and went to a office my mother had built me so if i ever visited CatCo again i can use that office whenever something at work came up.
I then dialed Alex's number. 3 rings were heard before Alex answered.
"Y/n. Hi. Is something wrong? Is Kara okay?" She asked.
"Alex, Kara's not fine. I mean she looks fine. But the way she's acting. That's not our Kara." I said
"Yeah, we captured the alien that got away. And he said that Supergirl let him get away. And yesterday she snapped at Hank and me." She explained.
"I can look after her and update you if something happened." I said to Alex.
"Yeah. That'd be great, Y/n. Thank you." She said.
"Just promise me you'll figure out why Kara is acting this way." I said.
"I promise" i nodded then ended the call. I didn't want to go back to my company so i started a online meeting for me and my employee's.
Moments in the meeting I heard my mother yell. "You are fired!" I looked at her office and saw she was talking to Siobhan.
"Okay, guys. I think that'll be all." I said to my employee's and the others had left the meeting along with me.
I sighed and sinked in my seat. I then heard a knock on the door. I liked through the glass door and it was Winn and Kara.
Kara walked in first with Winn following. Kara had something in her hands. "You seem stressed. Drinks and dancing." She held out the tickets.
I couldn't turn down drinks so i agreed. Hours later me, Winn and James were already at the club waiting for Kara.
We walked up to the bar. "What can i get for you?" A male bartender asked.
"Whiskey." I said and he nodded then gave me my drink.
The music then changed and had turned up louder. "Today's music is so loud." Winn said loud enough for us to hear.
"Siobhan's still has not texted me back."
"Wait. You guys are talking?" I asked.
"Well.. we kinda.. it's complicated." He said. It took me a second to realize it. I took a sip of my drink then got a notification.
"Kara said she's going to be here soon." I said and they nodded in response.
"Do you really think she's still on her way?" James asked.
"Oh, yeah. Oh, look. There she is. I see her. I think.. i think that's her." Winn said pointing at a blonde girl that had a tight black dress and her hair down.
"Yep. That's her." James said while i was completely speechless.
"Hey! Wow. Hey, Cat, look at you." Winn said.
"Yeah, that's what I was going for." She said while i just took a sip of my drink. Kara then walked up to me and out face were really close. I started panicking from the inside and i could feel my palms get wet. "You want to dance?"
"Sure." I said placing down my drink. Kara then took my hand and dragged me to the dance floor.
Kara then started dancing and swaying her body along with the music and i just followed her lead.
Kara then turned to me and placed her arms around my neck. "You okay?" I asked.
"I've never been better." She said.
"How about we have a quick drink with the guys." I said.
Kara then pulled me closer "No, no. Why would i get a drink when I'm finally getting what i want?" She said.
"And that is?" I asked and she brought my head down to her shoulder.
"I.. I want you, Y/n." She said. I was shocked by her.
"Kara.." her name was all i could get out. I didn't know what else to say. Just then my phone rang. It was my mother. "It's my mother. I'll be right back" I then went to a more noncrowded place.
"Mom. Hi." I said
"Y/n. Sorry for disturbing your night. But i can't reach James's phone so i called you. Tell him i want to talk to Supergirl." She said.
"Okay." She then ended the call. I turned around and there was no sight of Kara. Winn and James then walked up to me
"Where's Kara?"
