CHAPTER 009
| Deal Date pt.2
"Caught you" she thought to herself, she tapped on the table, as Cyrus who was startled by her presence but pretended to act like he did not know her approached their table,
"Good evening. What can I get you both?" he asked, his voice steady and composed.
Aiden's lips parted as he was surprised by the familiar face.
Serenity leaned in slightly. "Cyrus, you should know better than to ignore my texts" she stated firmly, her gaze piercing his.
Cyrus, unfazed by her, met her gaze with a calmness that only seemed to infuriate her further. "Madame, I'm here to take your orders, don't speak about anything other than that"
Serenity's gaze slid lazily over Cyrus, dismissing him almost instantly. "I'll have a caramel macchiato, extra hot."
Aiden glanced at Cyrus, "I'll have a black coffee"
Cyrus nodded, jotting down their orders, his focus unwavering. "Very well. Your drinks will be ready shortly."
Aiden's brows furrowed in confusion. "Is it a coincidence that you happened to like the coffee of the cafe that he works in?" he asked Serenity suspicion laced in his voice.
Serenity sighed lightly and shook her head. "Yes, it's merely a coincidence," she replied, trying to sound nonchalant. She was aware of the fact that Aiden can see through her lies, he's known her long enough to not be fooled by her.
Aiden looked at her intently. "Be honest with me Serenity, is there something going on between you two? Are you interested in him?"
She hesitated for a moment before responding, "He's just a scholarship student, barely scraping by, why would I be interested in someone like him?"
"Oh, is it like that? Why were you at the cafeteria with him?" Aiden questioned further.
Serenity's expression hardened slightly, and she brushed off his inquiry. "Don't pry too much into it," she retorted.
The pair was unaware of the woman with eyeing them by a nearby table and eavesdropping on their conversation, Aria, a wealthy and mean-spirited girl from class A of the academy had a long-time crush on Aiden.
Her crush soon turned into an obsession which led her to stalk him, she was content watching Aiden by sides, but the thought of someone snatching him away from her made her blood boil.
She is rich and has gotten everything she has liked in her life, and a person she likes is no exception.
Her eyes glinted with envy as she spotted Aiden and Serenity together.
Ignoring the tension around her, Aria approached their table, "Aiden!" she called out
Serenity's arched her brow in confusion unfamiliar with the new face, she looked at Aria. "Who?" she asked coldly.
"I'm not sure" Aiden answered as he gazed over at the young woman, "I'm guessing she's a classmate," he added
Aria mustered her courage and asked Aiden directly, "Aiden, is it true? Are you really dating Serenity? I overheard you at the cafeteria and followed you all the way here to confirm my suspicions, but please tell me it's not what I think it is."
Serenity's eyes flashed with annoyance. "What the fuck? You're one creepy stalker"
Aiden was taken aback by the revelation
"I love you, Aiden! Please give me a chance. I'm so much better than this bitch," Aria proclaimed, her frustration and jealousy seeping through her words.
