CHAPTER 012
| Summer Camp, pt. 2Serenity who was brutally kicked out of the room by Cyrus decided to sleep in the other room as weariness took over her, when she woke up it was evening already, and the sky had turned into a hue of orange and a mixture of pink and purple,
She heard the doorknob twist as Jasper entered the room with a bag in his hand, "Where are the others?" Serenity asked sitting on the edge of the bed, looking around.
"Aiden and Luca went swimming," Jasper replied, taking a seat beside her.
"To the beach?" Serenity inquired.
"No, the swimming pool on the terrace of the hotel," Jasper answered, reaching into the bag and handing her a popsicle,
"Rosalie's probably hanging out with her girls," Jasper added, taking out another popsicle and putting it in his mouth. "I thought it would help you cool down"
Serenity took a bit of the popsicle and exclaimed, "Whoa, I almost had a brain freeze!"
"You have one?" Jasper joked in an attempt to lighten up her mood, Serenity gave him a blank stare.
He clicked his tongue, "Hah, I know that was a lame one. Why do you look so down?" he asked, scratching his nape, a bit embarrassed
"It's nothing," Serenity replied, trying to brush it off.
"There you go again. Why don't you open up to us for once? Is it that Cyrus guy?" Jasper probed, concerned.
Serenity ignored his statement not knowing what to say,
"God, you're obsessed" Jasper sighed.
"I'm not. It's not an obsession... it's just that I find myself constantly curious about him, okay?" Serenity admitted,
"So you admit you're into him?" He questioned arching a brow,
Serenity shook her head, "No! When did I even—"
before she could complete her sentence he interrupted, "Since when did your type change to a gorgeous boy with glasses and brains?" he teased a smirk playing on his lips, "Guess opposites do attract"
"Wait—Are you implying that I'm ugly and an airhead?"
"Weren't you more into the dumb pretty boy type?" He added in a serious tone,
"What the heck does that even mean? I never had a type, to begin with, plus it's not an attraction" Serenity stated defending herself,
"What about guys like me?" Jasper asked,
Serenity saw the chance of teasing him and jumped on it, "You mean the stupid simp old man type with white hair?"
"You've got some mouth for someone who's failing every exam," Jasper teased back.
Serenity rolled her eyes, "Urgh, why does everyone bring up my grades into an argument?" she grumbled "I'd end y'all nerds combined if I had a proper sleep schedule"
"You aren't ending no body Serenity baby not in this lifetime at least, maybe pray hard so that in your next life you have an IQ in two digits"
"You little shit" Serenity grabbed a pillow and smacked him hard with it,
Jasper taking out another pillow said, "Equal rights, equal fights" As he smacked her with it,
Before he could land another hit on her, Serenity stood atop the bed, Yet, his response was not what she anticipated. Instead of a counterattack, his infectious giggles reverberated through the room, disarming her momentarily.
