CHAPTER 013
| Summer Camp, pt. 3"Guys, how about we play a game truth and dare?" Rosalie suggested with a mischievous grin.
"I'm against it," Serenity chimed in, her arms crossed sceptically.
"What about you, Cyrus?" Rosalie turned her attention to him, a playful glint in her eyes.
"Why ask him? He's just gonna run away with his tail between his legs," Luca goaded, a smirk on his face.
"There's no way he would fall for a provocation so childish—" Serenity thought to herself, giving Luca an amused glance.
"I'm in," Cyrus said casually, surprising everyone with his willingness. Cyrus looked around wondering why everyone was so surprised.
"Then it's decided. If you can't answer a truth, you gotta drink a shot, and if you refuse a dare, you gotta drink five shots," Aiden clarified, setting the rules.
"Alright, spin the bottle," Jasper eagerly suggested, placing the bottle in the centre.
"Aiden, truth or dare?" Luca asked, leaning forward with anticipation.
"Truth," Aiden replied confidently.
"Have you ever been rejected before?" Luca inquired,
"Indirectly confessed and got rejected? Yes, not once but twice," Aiden admitted, a touch of humour in his tone.
"If Aiden got rejected, then the rest of our species has no chance," Jasper quipped, causing Aiden to burst into laughter,
"Correct, at least not when some of y'all look like a failed lab experiment" Serenity added, raising an eyebrow in mock seriousness, her eyes set on a certain figure,
Luca shot her a glare knowing full well the sarcasm was intended especially for him. Ignoring Serenity's comment, Luca pressed gazing towards Aiden,"Who was it?"
"Your turn's over," Aiden replied spinning the bottle for the next round. The mouth of the bottle landed on Luca, its back pointing towards Jasper, who grinned mischievously. "Truth or Dare?" Jasper's voice held an air of anticipation.
Luca arched an eyebrow, feigning nonchalance. "Truth."
"What's a secret that could ruin your life if it got out?" Jasper asked,
A sardonic smile curled on Luca's lips. "If it were a secret that could ruin my life, why would I even say it in the first place?"
With a chuckle, Luca reached for the shot of alcohol. "I'm drinking the shot," he announced, lifting the glass to his lips.
"Tsk, npc," Serenity chimed in, her tone laced with sarcasm.
The bottle spun once again, its momentum halting with precision on Serenity. The questioner, Rosalie, leaned in, her voice carrying a hint of mischief. "Truth or dare?"
Serenity's lips curled into a self-assured grin. "Watch and learn how a game's played," she retorted. "Dare."
Rosalie's eyes gleamed with intrigue as she delivered her challenge. "You close your eyes, and everyone pours a shot. When you open them, drink one of the shots that was poured."
"That's easy," Serenity replied, her confidence unwavering.
"It does not end there," Rosalie continued, her voice dropping to a tantalizing whisper. "Whoever poured the drink, you've to sit on their lap for the rest of the round."
Serenity's shocked gasp echoed through the room, a flabbergasted expression plastered on her face. "That's outrageous!"
Serenity's mind raced as she grappled with her decision. "Why the hell did I decide to be a smartass and set myself up?" she mused internally.
