CHAPTER 023
| Only You, pt. 2

Serenity who listened to each and every word of her paused a moment to comprehend her words, these people weren't humans, they're worse than animals, she grabbed a glass from the champagne tower, the tower which got imbalanced immediately collapsed in seconds, shrad of glasses falling everywhere on the floor,

She flung the glass with brute force on that girl, the glass which broke on the impact just a few inches beside the girl's face, a piece of glass made a cut on the girl's cheek,

"That could've seriously killed me, you insane bitch!" She yelled holding her cheek fuming with anger,

Serenity clicked her tongue, disappointment flashing on her face, "What else was I aiming for? Or do you think this is some sort of a game?"

The girl scoffed at her, "Of course it is! This is a game and he is my plaything, what will you do about it?",

"Just when I think y'all couldn't get any worse, y'all prove me wrong each time", she smiled, "Since you like playing games so much, I'll play with you, like my toy",

The man walked towards her again in an attempt to stop her, "Don't do anything stupid, if you-", she picked up the champagne bottle by it's neck, smashing the bottom of it on the table, and holding it as a weapon, "Take another step", she challenged,

The woman rose from her seat, slapping Serenity's face with a ringed hand, leaving a scratch on her cheek. "Insane bitch! How dare you put a scratch on my face!" She slapped Serenity again.

"How dare a poor loser like you get in our way? Barbaric peasants like you need to be taught a lesson!" She raised her hand to slap Serenity once more.

Serenity, head lowered, caught the woman's hand.

"Now you've done it", having caught the arm that was raised to slap her, twisting her arm behind her back, she let go of her weapon and grabbed the woman by a bunch of her hairs, gripping hair and pulling it harshly. The girl screamed and struggled. "Let go, you insane bitch! Let go."

The cries of the girl echoed as the man walked towards Serenity. "You better stop before I-"

"Don't," Serenity threatened,

She dragged the woman by her hair to the table, pushing her down on her knees in the floor filled with the pieces of broken glass, with her face against the table.

The glass pierced through the skin of her knees, blood oozing out of her knees, she screamed in pain, "AHHH, MY KNEES, MY KNEES!! HELP JACOB, HELP ME!!"

Ignoring her screams, Serenity only uttered, "I'm asking you once again, what did you do to Cyrus?"

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?",

Serenity pulled her hair, slamming her face onto the table, the table was hard enough. "Will you answer me, or should I ruin your face to the point even your family won't recognize you?"

"Wait-wait! I'll tell you! We spiked his drink and injected him with drugs. We used some hardcore drugs on him, but we didn't harm him! He lost consciousness on his own!" She desperately pleaded,

"Let go of me, please."

"You all are worse than animals",

Serenity, holding the used syringe, questioned with a chilling calmness, "How did you use this on him? Did you hold him down and pierce him with it? Did he scream, yell, and beg you to stop?",

The girl cried hysterically, as she pressed her down harder,

Serenity stabbed the girl on her neck, not once but repeatedly, each plunge met with anguished cries. The room echoed with the woman's pleas, her legs wobbling with fear. "Please spare me! I beg you, I'm sorry, please," she pleaded desperately.

"Ah, my Cyrus must've been in so much pain," Serenity remarked coldly. "To think that I could not be present at the moment to save him from you fuckers really boils my blood."

"Did you stop when he asked you to let him go?" Serenity questioned, her eyes piercing into the soul of the terrified girl.

At that moment, Annie, the woman on her knees, regretted all her choices. She should have never stepped foot in this place. A 22-year-old from a wealthy background attending a prestigious university, she had wealth, boredom, and friends who were just as wealthy.

The thrill to try something new had overridden her sense of decency. Excitement had led her to torment those she deemed beneath her, people who could be manipulated with money, treated as less than mere objects.

The first time she laid her eyes on Cyrus was the time when Elise bought him to one of their parties, she was smitten, whether it was because he was Elise's partner or because on top of his gorgeous looks he had a reserved personality which made her want him to herself even more.

Cyrus was the pretty poor guy who had nothing yet refused to get involved with any of them.

Now, faced with the consequences, Annie realized her gravest mistake.

The beast of a woman in front of her had murderous intent, and Annie understood that begging and screaming wouldn't spare her even an ounce of mercy. The realization struck her hard-she had played with fire, and now she was about to get burned.

What seemed to be like the end of her was interrupted by the security guards who forcefully restrained Serenity, and the manager offered a strained apology, "I apologize, Madam Sinclair, though I can't let you cause any more ruckus than this in our club."

"Bastard, let me go! I'll kill them! I'll spare none of you psycho motherfuckers!" Serenity struggled against the unyielding grip of the guards.

The man approached, glaring at her. "It won't end with this!" he warned with a venomous tone.

"It certainly won't," Serenity responded,

As the guards lifted her by her arms, a distant siren grew louder. The manager's attention was quickly diverted to the approaching sound, prompting him to hasten towards the commotion.

Cops burst into the room, armed with guns, led by a stern-headed officer. "We've received a complaint of illegal drug usage here. You will have to come to the station with us," the head officer declared, addressing the room.

"I told ya, it won't end with this," the previously passive man warned, his threat lingering in the charged atmosphere. "I'll make you regret getting in our way."
