CHAPTER 011
| Summer Camp, pt. 1

The summer sun rose gently on the horizon as the bus carrying the students of Class C made its way through the lush countryside.

The day of the camp arrived sooner than she thought, the sky was clear and the sun was shining bright as ever, it was a perfect day to go on a trip with your academy friends.

Serenity found herself seated on the Celestia Academy's luxurious bus, headed for their summer camp. The vehicle hummed with lively chatter, laughter, and music, all of which was like an orchestra of delight to everyone on board. But for Serenity, the experience was far from enjoyable.

As the bus glided along the winding road, she clutched the edge of her seat, her face pale, and her stomach churning with unease. This was her first time travelling by bus, and it had quickly become apparent that motion sickness was not a friend she wished to entertain.

The smell of food from nearby passengers mixed with the rhythmic motion of the bus, threatening to undo her resolve.

'urgh, coming here was a huge mistake' she thought as regret took over her, Aiden and the others offered her for a ride, Luca and Rosalie went by the jet, Aiden and Jasper went by the car as they wanted to enjoy a long drive together

but Serenity being the stubborn woman she is, decided to go with Cyrus as he would never accept her offer.

The bus came to a halt to a place for anyone who had to use the restroom, some students got down including Serenity and Cyrus,

Serenity quickly entered the restroom and threw up everything she ate for breakfast,

She rubbed her temples in frustration, 'Fuck it, it'll be over soon!' she thought calming herself. 'poor people really do live in a different world'

After the time ran out of rest everyone got on the board again as their journey continued, she sat on her seat as she felt she'd faint anytime soon

Cyrus who came just now with a water bottle and some tablets in his hands, "Here, take these. They should help" he offered,

"I can't lift a finger, I'm tired," she uttered in a weak voice, her eyelids drooping with exhaustion.

"You're unbelievable, why'd you even insist on travelling by bus in the first place?" Cyrus questioned, frustration evident in his tone.

"Urgh, damn it, you wouldn't understand," Serenity retorted, her words laced with irritation and a touch of vulnerability.

"Alright, open your mouth," Cyrus said firmly, his concern overriding any irritation he felt.

Serenity looked puzzled, her brows furrowing as she responded, "Uh?"

"I'm making you take the pills before you faint on me," Cyrus stated

Serenity complied, slowly opening her mouth as Cyrus carefully placed the pill on her tongue and gently urged her to swallow with a sip of water from the bottle he held in his hands.

Cyrus who was quietly sitting beside her with earphones in his ears, unexpectedly extended one of his earphones to her. "Why don't you listen to some music? It might distract you from the nausea" he suggested.

Serenity accepted the earphone, plugging it into her ear. It was a pretty old song with few words and only instrumental sound of piano and violin,

the gentle melody that flowed into her mind provided a soothing escape from the disquietude of the bus's movements.

She closed her eye, time seemed to pass in a blur as she clung to the calming rhythm. Serenity eventually dozed off, resting her head on Cyrus's shoulder.
