Can't Stop Thinkin' Bout You

Chapter 7

"You are my heart, my life, my one and only thought."

Lu Sicheng glanced back at a sleeping Lu Yue. It was already 12:00 am and they were driving back to the base. Tong Yao was huddled into her seat, hugging a small pillow that Lu Sicheng had kept in his back seat earlier. They still had two more hours to go. Guangdong was so far from Shenzhen that sometimes Lu Sicheng never wanted to go home. He sighed, thinking of a way to get back to the base faster. He remembered the first time Tong Yao and he had met. 

Flashback:

"Lu Sicheng! Wait up!"

"What?"

"You're from the Lu family, right?"

"How'd you know?"

"I am Chinese. Duh..."

"Right. I forgot."

"Since we both are Chinese, let's be friends?"

"Okay."

 Lu Sicheng got out of his daze when he heard his girlfriend's soft snores. So adorable. He smiled, happy he found a perfect person for himself. He looked at her as she rubbed her eyes a little, letting her lips form a small pout as she snuggled closer into the pillow she was hugging. She was tired from all the talking and dinner they had. And maybe Lu Sicheng made her a little tired too. He looked away from her and gazed down at the road.

Tong Yao woke up early in the morning, not so happily. She was indeed exhausted yesterday and she still had to blame it on Lu Sicheng. She looked at the man sleeping next to her, his eyes closed, perfect nose, chiseled jaw, beautiful lips and dark brown hair. She smiled at his beautiful appearance before pulling her hand from under the duvet and creasing out his furrowed eyebrows.

She giggled when he muttered something in his sleepy trance and then gasped when he pulled her closer to him by her waist.

"Baby, sleep for some more time."

"I want to go down."

"No. Sleep with me."

"I have to shower also."

"Then I'll join you."

"No!!"

"Sleep then."

"No."

"I'm not letting you go."

"Cheng ge..."

"..."

"Baby.."

"..."

"Honey.."

"..."

"Lu Sicheng!! Let go of me."

"Feisty aren't we?"

"You better let go of me or else you will not be able to touch me for a week."

"I do not agree."

"Then let me go."

Lu Sicheng huffed in annoyance before reluctantly removing his arm from her waist. She got up from her sleeping position. As she was about to get out of bed, he pulled her back. She tried to remind him of the threat once again but he smirked and pulled her into his chest, before settling his face into the crook of her neck. Her breath hitched as his breath fanned her face, making shivers run down her spine.

Lu Sicheng: "Don't try to say that again cause I know you won't be able to sleep without me."

Tong Yao muttered some incoherent words before sighing, knowing he was right. She simply turned around, wrapped her arm around his waist and snuggled closer to his chest.

Tong Yao: "Maybe another hour won't hurt."

Lu Sicheng: "Yeah. You're right. Now sleep."

This time when Tong Yao woke up, Lu Sicheng was not there. Shrugging her shoulders, she went into the washroom and washed her face. She pulled out her toothbrush and started brushing. After making sure her teeth was shiny, she changed into a pair of sweats and went down, holding her phone.

As she took the last step, she saw all the team members in the gaming room, chatting and laughing. Lu Sicheng was playing a game on his phone with Xiao Cong on his lap, Old Cat and Old K were arguing, Little Fatty was munching on pork jerky, God Ming and Xiao Rui were discussing about the trip they were planning and lastly, Lu Yue was sitting on Tong Yao's chair, playing with Da Bing.

Tong Yao walked down, gave everyone a sweet smile and answered her phone which was ringing. She walked into the meeting area and sat on a seat as she talked to her mom.

A phone call conversation between Tong Yao and Mrs. Tong:

Tong Yao: "Hello, mom?"

Mrs. Tong: "Why didn't you come?"

Tong Yao: "Mom, I'll take some time. We are going on a trip to Chengdu, and will be arriving after a week. I'll talk to you then."

Mrs. Tong: "No. We have to talk sooner."

Tong Yao: "Say it over the phone. No one is here next to me."

Mrs. Tong: "Okay. We were thinking of a way to get rid of the person trying to threaten you. We even found out about who it is."

Tong Yao: "Who is it??"

Mrs. Tong: "A guy named Daniel."

Tong Yao: "What?!"

Mrs. Tong: "Do you know him?"

Tong Yao: "Faintly, but only the name doesn't ring a bell."

Mrs. Tong: "According to some sources, we have found out that he is here in China. For your safety, you have to go overseas. You can't tell anyone about this. We have no other option."

Tong Yao: "That means..."

Mrs. Tong: "Yes. You will have to leave everything in China behind and stay in another country for at least a year. You can come back once the coast is clear."

Tong Yao: "Ma... I'll think of it and tell you."

Mrs. Tong: "Okay dear. Love you."

Tong Yao: "Love you too, mom."
