Can't Stop Thinkin' Bout You

Chapter 20

"A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous."

Tong Yao settled into her comfy gaming chair, ignoring everything else. She started playing a match, putting all her frustration into it, killing the opponent more than two times. Lu Yue glanced over. He shook his head trying to get a better look at her screen. Finally, he groaned and got up from his chair, walking towards Tong Yao. He bent down and checked her score.

Lu Yue: "Oh god!! You got a pentakill!! Idiot, you must be angry today."

Tong Yao: "I will kill you today you retard. Scoot. Let me focus on my game."

Lu Yue: "But it's already over."

Tong Yao: "Can't you just---"

The two mids of team ZGDX were interrupted by Tong Yao's phone. Her head snapped towards it, looking at the caller's ID. Sighing, Tong Yao answered the call and placed it on speaker. Big mistake.

Jin Yang: "Wei? Jiemie!"

Tong Yao: "En. Tell me."

Jin Yang: "I just thought it's time you told Cheng ge and your teammates about your problem with that guy Daniel. I don't want you and Lu Sicheng to fight anymore. I want to become an aunt."

Tong Yao blazed red: "You're on speaker. Shut up!!"

Jin Yang: "Oops. Looks like my job is done. Bye!!"

Tong Yao: "Ah!! Jiemie!! Wait!!"

Tong Yao rubbed her forehead and looked around. Of course everyone was staring at her. Lu Sicheng was the first one to speak. "Who's Daniel?" Yeah, he's jealous again. "New stamp added to your stamp collection I see."

Tong Yao: "Ai!! Shut up--"

Lu Yue: "Ge, let her talk."

Tong Yao took a deep breathe in. "I really don't remember who Daniel is. But he and his family have something against me and my family. They might have attacked us when I was six or seven years old. But we escaped. They want to seek revenge was what they told me. We tried to catch hold of them and for safety reasons, I had to go to Seoul. Also please don't reveal this matter. I'm so sorry everyone, I left you without a single word. I'm sorry."

Old Cat: "There's nothing to be sorry about xiao jiejie."

Little Fatty: "Yeah. It was for a reason and we understand it."

Lu Yue: "For the first time in my whole life I feel sad for idiot."

Old K: "I guess we're even now."

Xiao Rui: "Everything is explained and all is better."

God Ming: "Cousin, I would've helped you out with this matter. But I appreciate your strength."

After a few seconds of silence and Tong Yao's eyes brimming with tears, they looked at Lu Sicheng who's chin was dipped low. He was killing someone whom I guess was Heirophant very aggressively. They shrugged at each other and went back to work.

The sun went down and the whole team of ZGDX was ready for their match with team KING tomorrow. Everyone left, one by one, only leaving Tong Yao and Lu Sicheng in the gaming room. Tong Yao glanced at Lu Sicheng who was still immersed in his game. She sighed, continuing with hers. 

Just then, she shrieked as her chair was turned and pulled towards a certain someone. He quietened her: "Shhh... You don't want those fools to hear you."

Tong Yao gulped, looking at that familiarly soothing face. His eyebrows were creased, with dark patches under his beautiful dark brown eyes. She bent forward, running her hand on his face as he leant into her touch.

Lu Sicheng: "Why didn't you tell me about this before?"

Tong Yao: "I was scared. I--"

Lu Sicheng: "You were scared of what?"

Tong Yao: "That creepy guy, nightmares and most of all, getting you hurt."

Lu Sicheng didn't say anything as she burst out, her tears flowing like it could fill a river. He pulled some tissues out from the box and wiped her cheeks gently. "It's fine. Let it out, you'll feel better." She cried for some more time and then stopped. He sighed and wiped her cheeks again before discarding the tissues. He made her sit on his lap and asked again. "Why didn't you tell me about this issue before?"

She sniffled, pouting: "I was scared of getting you hurt and--"

Lu Sicheng gently planted his lips on hers. Their mouths slowly melded, tongues colliding and sparks shot through her body. He pulled away, resting his forehead against hers. "I've missed kissing you like this for so long. I've waited for you long enough Tong Yao. Now you've come back. I'll never let you go."
