Can't Stop Thinkin' Bout You

Chapter 14

"You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them."

Tong Yao straightened out her creased dress and walked around frantically. She had made a call to Xiao Rui a few days ago and now, they wanted to see her, at the base. She had selected a beige full sleeved dress with black leggings. Jin Yang entered the room just in time and started pushing Tong Yao out.

Jin Yang: "They'll be waiting for you. Move."

Tong Yao: "I'm going. Give me my coat."

Jin Yang: "Here. Don't forget to talk to Cheng ge okay?"

Tong Yao: "Alright."

Tong Yao grabbed her remaining things and gave one last hug to Jin Yang before hurriedly rushing towards the door. Exiting, she went down to her Aston Martin. They had changed the number plate of it so that she wouldn't get into any danger.

At ZGDX's base:

Little Fatty continued trying to level up, Lu Yue played around with their ex-mid's chair and Old Cat was slumping on the sofa, reading a story book or to say he was sleeping with it on his face. Just then, their captain barged through the main door and slammed it hard. Old Cat flinched and mistakenly threw the book on Lu Yue, who dodged it. The book hit Little Fatty's mouse and then he lost the game.

Little Fatty: "Whaah... I would have gone back to Challenger if I had finished this match."

Lu Sicheng: "Shut up."

Everyone turned towards the stairs and saw God Ming following Xiao Rui as he talked on the phone with someone important. Then he smiled and ended the call. Old K who was relaxing next to Old Cat with his mask on asked: "What's happening? Why are you smiling Rui ge?"

Xiao Rui: "Guess who wants to join our team as mid?"

Lu Yue: "Umm... Someone who has a grudge against me?"

God Ming: "Close. But who has a grudge against you really bad?"

Lu Yue: "Maybe a person who wants to play as the starting mid of our team."

Old K: "You're so foolish."

Old Cat: "Wait... Is it..."

Little Fatty: "Xiao..."

Old K, Lu Yue, Little Fatty and Old Cat: "jiejie!!"

Lu Sicheng's head flipped upwards. "What? Why the hell is she back? What does she want?"

Lu Yue: "Ge, she wants you."

Lu Sicheng: "Shut up."

God Ming: "My cousin is coming to join ZGDX again. She's back and will be here in an hour to talk."

Lu Sicheng: "Did you ask me first?"

Xiao Rui: "Well, you're mother ordered me to let her join."

Lu Sicheng: "Of course she'll bribe her way in. You guys are a bunch of idiots."

Lu Sicheng walked back to his room and closed the door with a loud 'thud', startling everyone in the living and gaming room. He sighed and sat on his bed, grabbing his phone and playing Onmyoji Arena. After a few minutes of killing, he switched his phone off and threw it onto the bedside table. He knew everyone were thinking that his love for Tong Yao had become lesser and turned into hate but deep down, he knew he still loved her and would do anything to be near to her. All he needed was that chance to be close to her again. And now the opportunity showed itself. 

But he wasn't going to let her come back to his side so quickly. He would have a little fun, wouldn't he? He smirked before closing his eyes and thinking of the countless times she and he were together, laughing, kissing, hugging, smiling, caring and most of all, basking in the company of the other.

Tong Yao sighed before unbuckling her seatbelt and walking off towards the front door of ZGDX's base. Ringing the bell, she pushed her nervousness down and tried to look more relaxed and civilized. She repeated two things in her mind:

Be strong.

Don't jump onto Lu Sicheng when you see him.

Tong Yao lifted her head up as the door opened with a soft click. Lu Yue was standing in front of her with his eyes wide open. He shouted to the rest in the base: "Shorty is here!!"

Then he turned to Tong Yao and said: "Come on in idiot."

Tong Yao: "Surely retard."

All her team members greeted her. They knew their mid had a reason to get away from tem for a while. They were not sure what happened to her but they were willing to support her. Tong Yao, already falling in love with the presence of her team mates, filled herself with gratitude. "Thanks a lot. I thought this was going to be harder."

Little Fatty: "Anyways Xiao jiejie, where had you been all this time?"

Tong Yao: "I was in Seoul, Korea."

Everyone fell into a deep thought for a while and Tong Yao stood up. She walked over to the fridge and said: "Is there anything to drink?"

Lu Yue: "Maybe my ge's yogurt drinks."

Tong Yao nodded and grabbed one of Lu Sicheng's yogurt drinks. Unscrewing the lid of the drink, she smiled and took a gulp. The cold liquid ran down her throat and made her feel more relaxed. She turned around and took another gulp. As she lifted her gaze, it fell into a pair of chocolate brown eyes. The sadness, angriness and excitement all hidden in it. She felt the urge to speak but instead shut her mouth. She was thinking something sweet would come out from the mouth of that person but her imagination fell.

"Who told you you could drink my yogurt?"
