There's one look that no one wants to see. Once someone gives you that look you can never forget how it made you feel. You always see their eyes as dimmer than they really are, and their smile faker than it should be. It's the look that tears apart families. The look that's testing apart me. The look of dissapointment. Connor was expecially skilled at this look. I swear it's like he looks like what a dad should be when he's dissapointed. Connor's eyes were red and blotchy and his skin looked puffy. He'd been crying, he had jc standing next to him. I just stood there and watched.
So maybe I ran away. Oh well. Be happy I'm back that's all I'm saying. Connor lectures me for a minute but then suffocated me. He was actually hugging me but I couldn't breath so I wriggled free. I gave him a side hug and trudged up the stairs. I'm fine.
I walked up to my room, the door opened slightly. Odd as it was for my door to be opened I shrugged it off and stepped inside the door. I made sure the door was shut and I walked over to my desk. I frantically searched for my journal where I kept my "survival" kit. It was really just a blade, some bandaids, a note I had written, some pain meds crushed to a powder, and a picture of Grammy. I needed that journal to be lying around. When I looked on the shelf where I sore I put it I saw a small box. A box I had never seen before. It was pink with a flowered lid. Hestinatly I opened the lid. A note and Grammy's picture lay in the box. Carefully I unfolded the note reading the words printed neatly on the lines. "You won't be needing this journal anymore, or the contents inside. Oh and I felt like your room was not safe for children so I got rid of all the sharp objects, just in case your adoptive nieces and nephews come over. If you need to get your emotions out send them to the operator, directions are below.
1. Follow the clues
1st clue: you can find me where the trouble begins.
2. Ask for help from anyone if you need it
3. Always keep moving
Love you
Stay safe"
The note seemed odd but I decided to follow the clues, someone who wrote this knew me a little to well.
First clue was where trouble begins. Trouble could start with anything. So I looked around for a good while. I came to nothing. And that's when my sarcastic self kicked in. Trouble starts with T. Either t, Ti, tea, or tee. My ideas churned. I darted to where Connor kept his Arizona tea, the good kind that only he and I knew about. A note was on top. SCORE.
"Look at you, you smart girl. You caught on. Now go past no return and make a left."
That one was easy no return was this game about the woods that we had in a special place because it was limited edition, too the left was a crate with other games. So the note must be in one of them. I searched about 20 games. Opening and closing popping in disc. But there was no luck. But then I read the note and it said past no return if I went past it just barely the game was on the left. And so with that I found the next clue.
I went on like this for several more hours. The sun just began to set. I was on clue 9. I had passed many task and finnaly I could find the last one. The infomis task ten. As I searched around I found one last note. "Good girl see you carried on, find me where this all began."
What is this. This could be so many things. I was tired so I decide to move up to my room hoping that maybe I could find am easier clue. As I opened my door shock jolted my system. There was Jc. "You found me" he smiled.
I was not happy. So this is how it's going to be now that he knows. Now he has to take care of me? No! I don't need another "friend" I need to leave, bcause here is no different than anywhere else. Everyone is the same way. Your either invisable, dying, or fake but your never happy, healthy, visible, or real. That's just how the town makes you feel. Like it's all on the surface, but your buried deep in the ground.
