I knew Connor's friends had seen me at my worst but I felt I needed to impress. I French braided my hair around my head to a side ponytail and curled the ends of my hair. I slipped on skin tight black jeans, black vans, and my favorite hoodie type top. It was gray with a gold tribal print lace over the pocket and back. I felt good about how I looked for the first time in a long time.
I ran out the door to find Connor, but I ran into Jc instead. "Hey Jc have you seen Connor?" I asked hoping he knew we he was. " yeah he's as Starbucks and asked me to pick you up, well meet up there." Jc said with this calm smile that I loved. I knew he was my brothers friend and slightly older than me but something about him just made me so happy. He was smug and I knew he wouldn't be the best thing for me but I was excited I could ride with just him, now I have to keep my nerves under control. "Ok, cool with me." I replied. We headed out the the car and slowly started to drive. " So how have you been Angel?" Jc asked, small talk just great. "Pretty good I mean different but better I guess." I said completely normal. "Oh cool yeah you've had some rough years eh?" He seemed to forget he did to. "Jc you did to but I was once taught to outlive the negative and focused on the positive." I was quoting him hoping he'd catch on. Jc just stared at me. Then the world around us sped up. "JC..."I screamed not helping anything. Rain was falling we were spinning and we stopped. at least I thought we did. "Angel!, I'm sor... and everything became a jumbled up blur.
