Miguel quickly untangled himself from Peter and looked at him with wide eyes.

"What?"

"What? I'm just thinking, I could be a help to you with Gabriella and-"

"Yes!" Miguel grinned at Peter, his high cheekbones practically intruding on his eyes.

Miguel repositioned himself in Peters arms and stared up at him in utter bliss.

"How do I tell Gaby though? What if she doesnt agree with it?" The worries, per usual, had begun to set in Miguel's face and mind.

"First off, why would you're own daughter not agree with your sexuality? I'm sure she'll be ok with it. And we don't have to tell anyone if you aren't comfortable." Peter ran his fingers through Miguel's soft hair to consol him. Miguel nestled into the touch.

"I think we should tell the people closest to us at HQ. But I don't think I need all of them knowing. Besides, we don't even know how accepting everyone would be of it. Especially if they find out that their own boss is, well, you know. They could back out and then-"

"Miguel, Miguel. You're getting ahead of yourself. Why don't we just tell Jess, Ben, and Peter B?" Peter suggested

"But Peter B has such a big mouth. What if he tells?" Miguel's worry lines had come out to play.

"Miguel, please. He wouldn't do that!" Peter scoffed ruffling Miguel's hair. Miguel grunted, reaching up to fix his messed up hair.

"Besides, it wouldn't be fair if we told the other two and not him." Peter places a kiss into Miguel's hair.

Miguel sighed in agreement. It had been a good night for the pair. They spent the rest of their time in bed pondering about what they wanted the wedding to look like, what kind of rings they wanted to pick out as engagement rings, since Peter's proposal was rather sudden and he therefore had no ring to offer to Miguel, and who they wanted to invite. They had settled on making the wedding for next year's august smack dab in the middle of it, in hopes for good weather. Maybe they were getting a little carried away, but it was harmless excitement that they shared.

The next few weeks passed and many of the spiders at HQ had begun to pick up on a change in behavior between Miguel and Peter. Peter would often come prancing on out of Miguel's office awfully chipper. People had begun to wonder what could possibly be enticing him to go to Miguel's office for lunch everyday with three empanada in hand.

Miguel wasn't unfriendly, but he also wasn't one for social interactions. If he could help it, he would stay away from them. He found himself too awkward to up hold a conversation worth indulging in. They made him anxious. He couldn't quite pinpoint what exactly made him act that way around the general public, but he figured it was probably thanks to his oh so kind and loving father, and Alchemax. Speaking of which, Miguel realized it was probably about time for another dosage of rapture. His addiction was slowly getting better. From having to take it more than a few times a day, down to twice, and now once, Miguel was rather proud of his progress with the suffocating addiction. Of course, he probably wouldn't have been able to get to where he was without the help of Lyla and Peter.

Miguel reached into a drawer off to his left that contained the injector and the viles and pulled them out. He situated the gun just so, and pushed it into his shoulder before pulling the trigger. He felt it running through his veins from his fingertips, down to his toes. Miguel walked over to a couch, sat down, and closed his weary eyes. He figured a nap wouldn't hurt. There wasn't all that much happening at HQ, never mind many anomalies.

Miguel readjusted himself so he was lying comfortably. He let out a long breath and smiled to himself as he thought of how wonderfully his life was finally going. After years of struggling through caring for his younger brother because his mother was too self centered and his father was a bastard, it all seemed to finally have paid off.

Just then, he heard his office doors open and he cracked open a solitary eye to see Peter waltz in with three empanadas special for him.

"Hey love! I got your lunch!" Peter sang, webbing over to Miguel to sit on the edge of the couch.

"Were you about to nap?"

"Well, yeah, kinda." Miguel teased playfully.

Peter handed Miguel his empanadas Which Miguel took gleefully. Peter then crawled onto Miguel and settled on his chest, bringing his hands behind Miguel's back. Miguel decided he could wait to eat his lunch later. Peter was more important. Miguel put the empanadas down on a table off to the right of the couch and ran his fingers through Peter's soft blonde hair. Peter breathed against him, his chest falling up and down against Miguel's own. Miguel kissed the top of Peters hand and watched Peter smile on top of him.

"I love you so much," Peter whispered into Miguel's breast.

"I love you mo-" Miguel started before Lyla fizzled into view.

"Sorry to break it up love birds, but we kinda have a problem on earth 1610."

"Oh hey! That's my place!" Peter said, smiling and hoping off of Miguel.

"Thank you Lyla for ruining a nice moment." Miguel rolled his eyes playfully.

Lyla bowed to Miguel extending a hand out to him.

"Oh don't worry Miguel I'll be back soon enough! You just stay here and sleep while I'm gone." Peter kissed Miguel's cheek before ruffling his hair.

Miguel grunted trying to fix his hair.

"Ok Peter. See you soon. Love you." Miguel cupped Peter's cheeks and kissed him softly on the lips before Peter then turned on his watch and fled the scene.

It was an unfortunate time for Peter. It was an unfortunate time for Miguel. Peter never came back to wake Miguel up.
