I guess I truly suck,
To make someone like you,
Stop knowing what to say,
There was too much fighting,
In everything we were writing,
I felt myself get crushed,
And everything felt rushed,
I wanted to stop typing,
But that wouldn't be fair,
And in life being fair is rare,
We gave up,
It sounded like cutting ties,
I was so beaten,
Defeated,
And the same words were repeated,
We moved on,
But my feelings weren't gone,
I felt so wrong,
I wanted my lungs to stop,
Just so things would go away,
But that made everything stay,
My mind like a rug began to fray,
I couldn't explain,
What was in my brain,
I don't feel sane,
Wanting to stand in the rain,
I'm surprised I didn't turn to pain,
Things are wrong,
And I can't understand a song,
It's not how I feel,
Nothing feels real,
The air is in my lungs,
And things are alright,
But I won't forget,
You gave up the fight.
