Though it's hard, so he ends up squeezing the shit out of the pen in his hand.
"Right. I'll work on it."
The walking annoyance he calls his boss narrows his eyes at him and lifts his heavy hand off of his shoulder.
"You better. I don't need any more dead weight fucking with my paycheck at the end of the week!"
With that, he leaves his desk, only to pause, his hands on his hips.
"And where the hell is Midoriya?! I told him to go and get my coffee two minutes ago!"
Katsuki, now turned back at his desk, can't help but tighten his grip around the poor pen. He hates this pig with a fucking passion. The man stands for a second before letting out a frustrated grunt, turning back to his office. He looks down at Katsuki as he passes.
"If you see him, tell him if he doesn't get my coffee on my desk in the next three minutes, I'm going to gut him like a fish!"
With that, the man stomps back into his office, slamming the door closed. The pen in his hand bends, the plastic not being able to hold together. It snaps, the plastic piece holding the ink springing and landing on his desk. He curses under his breath and looks for another pen.
He finds none and stands up. What a shitty start. He can't see Midoriya anywhere, and the feeling of that boss asshole's hand on his shoulder won't go away. He shivers and roughly rubs the spot while going to the break room to get a pen and maybe coffee while he's at it.
He presses a button on the coffee machine, and a hissing sound starts to fill the room. The hot liquid starts to fall into the pot, and the sound almost makes him zone out. Before he can though, quick footsteps break through the quiet office floor.
He turns to the doorway and sees Midoriya rushing to the boss's private office, a coffee mug in his hand, the liquid inside being jostled slightly in his run. He glances back and gives Katsuki a small nod before going into the room.
Katsuki hears the muffled yelling all the way from the break room over the pounding of his heart. Ready to get back to work, he goes to his desk. The minutes turn into hours, Katsuki drowning himself in work in order to not focus on the man racing back and forth.
If he stops to stare, one; he will look like a creep, and two; he will never get back to focusing again. Before he knows it, the sun is setting, and his paperwork is all done. He looks up towards the breakroom, seeing Izuku Midoriya himself standing in the small room, getting coffee.
He takes a deep breath and gets up, going over to the room. Midoriya sees him coming and gives him a polite smile, one that sends Katsuki's mind reeling.
