The fire crackles amid the night as a sea of glittering stars fills the serene night sky. Twinkling and shining amid the black sea they dwell in.

Red and orange, golden yellow, a blaze of heat and warmth right before their eyes as the fire crackles and burns through the quiet night.

"Hey, when do you think I can leave this place?" Young and with a charm, the young man with short red hair and bright gold eyes sat on a log with his legs crossed, staring up at the sky curiously with wonder, asking just a simple question that the woman next had heard hundreds of times before.

"When you manage to complete your training, then I'll let you go," Calm and collected, youthful but with mature charm her red eyes glanced at him as the fire gave life to long purple hair. But at the sound of her familiar answer, the young man groaned and dropped his chin unto the palm of his hand, blowing air as he stared into the blaze.

"You make it sound like I'm ya freaking prisoner, I just want to go exploring," Annoyed as he tapped his foot on the ground, the teenager glanced over at his teacher and found she wasn't actually looking at him. He could have sworn she was just now. "...Well, what if I said you could come along?"

"...I don't feel like looking after a child," His teacher said as she earned quite the reaction from her student.

"What?! I just turned seventeen today! I am a grown man woman!" He shouted, jumping up from his seat and onto the ground as with a mere glance in his direction, the very grown man suddenly sat back down in his seat as the woman gave him a look that said knock it off.

"...You still want to see heroes, don't you, Y/n?" His teacher asked him with a knowing tone as Y/n pumped his fist and grinned.

"Hell yeah! Screw reading about them, I need to see the real deal now!" With undeniable excitement, Y/n didn't hide anything as the woman sighed and shook her head, looking back at the fire with a complicated expression, as if she was thinking about what he had just said.

"...You still can't leave, Y/n."

"Why!?" He begged to know as if his life depended on the information.

"Child," Sighing, she took her eyes off the fire. Crossing her legs and looking over at him, his teacher never had a readable face, but, right now, something about her eyes seemed...Off.
