The world doesn't wait for you. It rushes, pushes, tests, and does everything under the sun to leave you stuck in the dust. At times it feels as if you're being faced with an impossible obstacle presented by it. Its goal is to make you stronger, yet if you fail, you're likely to fall and remain stuck where you're at, leaving you in the past. Lamenting and regretting your choices, asking for a chance to do better. Begging. At other points, without warning or reason, you'll find one aspect of your life completely changed forever. The death of a loved one, the loss of a pet, or the sudden ending of a friendship. And it forces you into the future, into a new point in your life where you're forced to make that mother, that pet, or even friend, a part of your past.
It is often said that the world is cruel, and is it? Life is, as you'll be a damn liar to say you have never been wronged, hurt, or even pained at one point in it. Perfection only exists in the dream. And in the world we live in, dreams are made by the children living in innocence, and those who wish to escape it for a time. Nevertheless, the world as does life, as do you, only exists in the now and develops over the future, forever pulling you towards it, no matter if you wish to go or not.
But, how long does it take to get there? Not to the future, but to the present, to finally be able to accept things as they're and finally take the next steps forward? Oh, it is a tragedy, that men and women, even the poor children may one day or have already experienced a pain that has left them to seemingly forever think about it. As it was said, the events in our life can often be cruel, to such destruction that it leaves us wondering why we have been dealt a hand ever so cruel.
We'll scream at heaven, blame God, ourselves, and anyone we can find responsible, up until we're left alone with the knowledge that what has happened, happened. And that no matter what we may want to do, we cannot change what we did, or didn't. Making the pain even worse, as, if we were smarter, noticed quicker, or even cared to listen, things wouldn't have happened, or they would still be here. Those stuck in the past are held prisoner to the unchangeable consequences of their actions, some call it fate.
But, if you could dream up a perfect world, where those things never happened, would you?
Some would even make a wish for it. Praying even for the chance to see how things would have turned out if they ended differently.
While some dream about it... Making her own little world inside her head, full of rosey flowers and blue skies.

"Come on now, tell me another story, please?" Merlin asked, her voice sweet and suggestive, a smile written on her face as the man that sat beside her laughed. "That one ended so dramatically, so give me another one, dear boy. Fufu~"
"Haven't I told you enough? By the time we're done, I'll have to start asking you for some, haha!" Y/n said with a laugh. Looking at her a little more, this time with a more thoughtful expression as he continued."Ya know, there's a lot I don't know about ya, your age for one thing..." The man noted as Merlin then poked him on the cheek and gave a small giggle.
