[ Chapter 13 ]

If I was prone to being seasick I'm not sure being on this ship would be a great decision.

Looking down I found myself staring down at the deep blue sea. I've always read stories, and some legends of sea monsters... But, I've never got the chance to kill one and cook it. Either way, aside from the ocean blue greeting my eyes, being lit by the morning sunlight, I found myself staring at fish, it's boring, like really boring. But, my friend beside me seems to be having a much different experience.

"Oi Sif! Stop drooling will ya? Those fish aren't just gonna fall into your mouth." I said, looking over to my carnivorous friend, both of us leaning over the ship to take a look down below. Sif only looked at me for a moment before going back smiling, and drooling at the meals I was not going to prepare for her. Well, I'm pretty weak when she uses the "eyes". God damn those eyes!

"Alright, look all ya want, just make sure not to fall over, will ya? I don't want you smelling like a wet dog." I said to Sif as I walked away from her.

"Sure, just make sure not to say something stupid in return. Wouldn't want to repeat last week when you told her..." I had to force a smile at my wolf's comeback. Forcefully cutting the link between us. The urge to turn around and reply with something and look like a damn idiot was strong in me.

Shaking my head and letting out a laugh, I looked around the ship. It was fairly large, well of course it was, it was transporting a king after all. Speaking of said king...

"My king, tell me? How long till we arrive?" I said with a smile as I walked up to Arthur who was at the front of the ship. My blonde friend who was dressed in a blue outfit with gold lining and white pants, along with the addition of silver magical armor, turned to look at me. Once again I found myself greeted by a familiar face that I've come to enjoy seeing.

"Sir Y/n, are you done admiring the sea?" Arthur asked me, making me shrug my shoulders as I looked back to Sif before back to Arthur.

"Yeah, but I think Sif seems to be enjoying it more than me." I replied, walking up and beside Arthur. Looking forward towards the sea, given my rather good vision, I could see the outline of the Island in the distance. Huh, only a little longer then.

"I see, but we shall arrive in an hour's time. You still have time to cut your hair if you wish." Arthur quickly said at the end, making me give my king an annoyed look.

Ah I guess I should explain. For the past couple years, six I believe. I have been letting my hair grow out. I'm not some barbarian, I do keep it from looking like a mess. But it's currently reached my upper back. Still, that doesn't stop the brat over here from complaining about it!

"Yeah, maybe I'll cut my hair when you gain some height, you haven't bloody grown in the past six years! You're built like a boy, yet have the role of king. It's as if you're a clown in a circus." I said with a grin, knowing how to get on his nerves. Which seemed to work by his expression.

"I don't believe the appearance of a king is necessary as long as they serve their country. Yet I cannot say the same for a knight who looks more like a wildman." Arthur said, an obvious irritation in his voice that he was actively trying to hide.

Heh.

Normally, He wouldn't have engaged in something like this, he really does live up to the model of a king. Be in battle or in court. Throughout the years, It's something I've come to truly understand and admire, he's a hard worker, maybe a little too much. But, I guess he can still be the brat that I first met, which means I can laugh and mess with ya, Arthur.
