"Um, yeah, Hawks told me about the work studies. I'm surprised no one else knew about them." Karasu said as she sat down at lunch, beside Todoroki and across from Kirishima and Kaminari.

"Why wouldn't you tell any of us?!" Kaminari exclaimed. "Todoroki, did you know?!"

"My dad never mentioned it." Todoroki shrugged, slurping his noodles quietly.

"I assumed you all knew." she said dismissively as she took a bite of her food. "Hawks only told me because he told me he wasn't going to scout me."

"Your own brother won't scout you for a work study?" Uraraka asked as she sat beside her.

"It's whatever." Karasu shrugged, waving her hand. "I put it on my 'bring it up and make him think it really hurt me the next time he won't let me do something' list. Besides, I'd honestly prefer not to do my work study with him anyways. He can be a little overprotective when it comes to hero work- especially since I got kidnapped... after being injured at the USJ. I'm not looking into Endeavor again after my internship, no offence Todoroki, so we'll see. I'm gonna talk to Hawks about getting in contact with someone. Maybe. Hopefully."

"Could you put in a good word for me with Hawks?!" Kirishima asked desperately.

"Yeah, me too!" Kaminari echoed.

"I mean- I can. He doesn't really involve me in his hero life so I don't know what good it'll do, but I can mention you guys are interested." She nodded to them, spinning her spoon around.

"Anything could help, at this point." Iida said with a sigh. "For all of us."

"Your family has connections numbering in the hundreds." Tokoyami said with folded arms. "Which is an advantage most of the rest of us don't have."
"Connections can hurt you sometimes, honestly." Todoroki spoke up. "Other pros sometimes only associate us with our parents or siblings or families. Good or bad things they do, or their reputations can give us something to be measured against."

"Even though they're seasoned pros and we're still students." Yayurozu agreed as she ate her fillet mignon.

"Exactly. Being related to a pro isn't as cool as you'd think." Karasu nodded, taking a sip from her water bottle.

"At least you guys are rich!" Uraraka said, making everyone at the table laugh.

Karasu looked up at the building in front of her, Midoriya, and Togata. "Honestly, I'm not sure why Sir Nighteye wants to meet with me." she said honestly. "Hawks probably asked him to take me on-"

"Sir wouldn't do a favour of that magnitude to another pro." Togata shook his head, holding the door in front of her open. He wasn't condescending in tone, but he did sound serious. That made her feel better. "Let's go meet him, he doesn't like to be kept waiting."

Karasu picked at her nails neurotically as they walked through the entry hall. She looked around carefully, taking in all the information she could gather as quickly as she could. There were only two sidekicks at this agency- but she saw at least ten assistants running around with stacks of paper in their arms.

"How long have you been with Sir Nighteye?" she spoke up, hurrying to keep pace beside Midoriya. Her wings perked up excitedly as they walked. I need to break that habit, she thought, I don't like having such a visual showing of my emotions like that.

"Oh, about a year now. It's been an amazing opportunity." Togata said happily.

"Right, right. Todoroki and I saw you with him for the re-signing of your contract. I remember that." Karasu shook her head.
