カラス
It had been a few months of calm since the Shinda incident, and still the League of Villains had yet to rear their heads.
In truth, things still weren't truly calm- they probably wouldn't ever be until the next War happened. Nothing would truly be resolved until that happened. There was a major potential that things may never be the old version of calm again.
Karasu was thankful for even this version of calm, though. She got to be a student, got to really learn the ropes of semi-normal heroism from her brother, and got to be a girlfriend, all without the constant and unending threat of War and death looming directly above their heads and actively trying to pull everyone apart.
To her, the past few months had been the best she'd had at UA.
It was slowly becoming spring again, a year since the Paranormal Liberation War. It felt completely unreal, with everything that had passed in that year.
As much as the world was finally getting back to normal- it was hard for anyone in the hero course to feel that. They were still dealing with the lasting effects of the war, both physically and mentally.
For Karasu herself, she had finally gotten her speeds almost back up to what they had been before she lost the rest of her arm.
There had been some discussion about Eri potentially trying to help her regain her lost right arm- but Aizawa had said, with Karasu's agreement, that Eri's quirk should be saved for what was absolutely necessary, because she was afraid that there would be a line too easy to cross of Eri's quirk being useful and just being wrongly used again. Just like her teacher wasn't having Eri restore his foot and eye, she wouldn't ask Eri to help her get her arm back. It was something she had long since learned to live without.
Training was certainly harder, and she had had to come to the acknowledgment with herself that some tasks, such as folding laundry, were just a bit beyond her now.
As a whole, however, school had returned to normal. The general studies students were once again vaguely tolerating the antics of the hero course, the support course being their incredibly unique and generally helpful- although occasionally insane- selves, the business courses were... Well, they were the business courses, so the hero course students almost never saw them.
It seemed like the world was healing, which felt just a titch suspicious to Karasu- every time the world had seemed to be returning to skelter over the past couple of years, it meant a disaster was on its way.
She couldn't help but to be afraid of what the future might hold for her and everyone she cared about. In her heart, though, she knew she could handle it as long as she had her boyfriend and her brother by her sides. No one else in this world mattered to her the way they did.
Which actually made her think about the fact that she still had to figure out what to do about her mother. She didn't want to never see her again, but it felt terrifying to try and keep her in her life. She had clearly proven that she wasn't beyond abandoning her, or taking money to directly cause her mental pain and anguish. It was hard to imagine coming back from that deep of a level of trust lost.
Karasu had been hurt by a great many people in her life, and she knew that loving someone meant giving them the power to hurt you, but when someone had twice over proved they didn't deserve that trust- she had to ask herself if it would just be stupid to hand it to that someone again.
"You seem distracted." Hawks said as they stepped into the cabin together. He had finally arranged for a Takami - Todoroki cookout at the cabin, and even convinced everyone that they should spend the night up there with the sole exception of Endeavor. "What's up?"
