カラス

Karasu was sitting on top of a stack of boxes, just above where Todoroki was sitting on a box himself. Iida had summoned them all to a meeting to come up with a plan.

"I made a drone earlier," Yayurozu said as she sat up on the couch. "It'll send an SOS message once it's close to the mainland."

"That's at least a six hour flight time." Karasu said, tugging at the end of her braid.

"And it'll take time for the heros to assemble and get to us once they receive it." Yayurozu nodded.

"I doubt the villains will just wait around for that," Ojiro said from his seat near Iida.

"We'll have to fight and protect the people of this island." Iida said.

"How are we supposed to do that?" Sato raised his head.

"Midoriya and Bakugo already almost died fighting one of them." Karasu said nervously.

"And four of us took on that beast at once and still lost," Todoroki agreed.

"Yaomomo and Kaminari are down for the count for now." Jiro said, "so our numbers are dropping."

"It'd help if we knew what they were after." Iida said thoughtfully. "We could make a plan, then."

"That's me!" A little boy came running in. "He said he wants to take my quirk!"

"What?!" Karasu sat up straight, looking at the little boy. A kid again? What is it with villains and abusing children?! Her fist clenched.

"We could take him and run away?" Mina said. "Maybe Karasu could fly-"

Todoroki's head snapped up. "It isn't that easy," he stood up onto his feet. "These people are serious- what if they kill someone because we don't hand him over?"

"Hand him over?" Karasu jumped to the ground and stared at her boyfriend. "Don't even suggest that!"

"So then what are we going to do?" Todoroki looked at her seriously. "What's the plan, here?"

Anger bubbled up in her when she heard her boyfriend say that. "We'll come up with one!"

"You have to hand me over!" The little boy cried out. "It's fine! He said he won't kill me! It doesn't matter if I lose my quirk! I just want to keep everyone safe!"

"That isn't an option." Midoriya said as he came through the doorway. "We cannot do that."

Karasu nodded and walked to stand beside the children without looking at Todoroki. She'd never actually been angry with him before, the feeling of it made her uncomfortable. They'd need to talk about it.

Midoriya ruffled the little boy's hair. "The entire reason we came to this island was to protect people, right?"

Todoroki flinched slightly when he said that. It was true- his suggestion had flown directly in the face of that. It wasn't something any of them as heros should have even considered.

"What're we standing around for? We just need to kill a few stupid villains." Bakugo said from the door.

"Bakugo!" Kaminari jumped up excitedly.

"Those villains are as good as dead." Bakugo grinned in his usual slightly murderous fashion.

"We'll keep everyone on the island safe." Karasu nodded in agreement.

"I'll help however I can." Todoroki stepped forward.

As the rest of their class chimed in their agreement, Karasu turned to look at her boyfriend finally. He had his eyes on her as well, his expression one of worry and stress.
