I think that's supposed to be my line, Kara.

"Why are we here again? The workstudies don't start until this weekend, officially." Karasu asked as she followed her brother and Tokoyami through the halls of his agency. Why is Hawks allergic to good decorations? Whenever Best Jeanist is back from... wherever he is, we should let him loose on this place.

"Well, I still need you two to sign your new contracts with me." Hawks explained, twirling one of his feathers in the air. "I also need to brief you both on a few things that'll be different this time."

Tokoyami and Karasu exchanged looks as they reached Hawks' office. "Different?" Tokoyami asked.

"I'm on a very specific mission at the moment," he sighed as he sat down, "the people I've been commissioned by have requested that I get Raven on board with me. Tsukuyomi, I asked you back because I wanted to keep you on my work study."

"Oh, well that's a nice blow to the ego." Karasu sighed, rubbing her shoulder. So he was forced to have me here, he still doesn't actually want me to do a work study with him. Awesome.

"I appreciate being asked back." Tokoyami bowed to him quickly.

Hawks smiled slightly. "I actually need to talk to Raven alone." he said to Tokoyami. "My sidekicks will have you sign your new contact." The other student nodded and left the room.

"So... you didn't ask me to join you here because you believe in my skills?" Karasu sighed, taking a seat in front of the desk, palming her closed staff awkwardly.

"I wanted to wait to tell you about this." Hawks set his glasses aside and looked at her. His expression had changed from his traditional jovial attitude to an almost scary seriousness- she hadn't seen him like this since the court hearing four years prior. "but the League of Villains wants to put audio recording devices in my wings, so I have to do it now."

"The League of Villains?" Karasu's blood ran cold and she leapt to her feet, her wings knocking the chairs halfway across the room. "You're-"

"The Commission requested I go undercover with the League." Hawks held a hand up to stop her before she started shouting. "You of all people know why I can't really say no to the commission."

She flinched, walking and picking her chair up. "That old chestnut," she deadpanned as she sat down again. Having custody of her was one of the things the commission was using to force him into this, and she knew that. "Do they want me to do the same, then?"

"Uh, no. They actually aren't thrilled about this- but at this point I don't have much choice if the League is really going to think I'm with them body, mind, and spirit. They want to speak with you- I'm supposed to ascertain if you're 'amenable' to Redestro's ideologies." Hawks sighed, flopping back in his chair. He looked way too exhausted. It worried her.

"This is because I'm dating Shoto, right?" Karasu slumped forward.

"Uh, yeah." Hawks rubbed the back of his neck. "I did tell them you couldn't wear any wires, though. You're too likely to get caught at UA and that would mean both of us would become useless to their cause- although they said they were never even going to ask you about that."

"Thanks for that, at least. I don't know anything about Endeavor, if that's what they want." Karasu fiddled with a necklace she was wearing. The one Todoroki had given her. "Shoto hates him, that's the only info I have."

"They don't want information on him." he laughed. "I assumed that too, honestly. I do have a theory on why they actually want you."

"Let's hear it." she leaned back in her chair, rubbing her right shoulder.
