"Iida's gonna be so mad that we're on a mission for the last Class 3A activity." Karasu said as she landed on a tree stump next to her boyfriend after doing a scan of the forest.

Todoroki smiled slightly. "I'm sure he'll understand... maybe."

"Maybe." Karasu echoed with a laugh. "Although it does suck we'll miss it. At least both Hawks and Endeavor promised we'd be free for graduation in a few weeks."

Todoroki nodded in agreement. "Did you spot anything on your fly over?"

"Not much. I saw what looked like movement about two miles into the trees to the west." Karasu informed him.

They had been sent on a mission on their own, the first time. There had been reports of a jailbreaker running around in Nikko National Park, and it had seemed to be one of the lesser criminals so the number one and number two had agreed to send the students in to get their feet wet on handling things without their direct backup. Their last mission before their graduation ceremony and truly becoming full pros- officially, classes and exams were over. They were living in the dorms still until the graduation ceremony and would have a further five days to move out entirely. Karasu and Todoroki had signed the lease on an apartment together, officially ready to start their lives together beyond UA. Hawks had grumbled a bit about having hoped they'd get to live with each other a while longer, but nothing serious.

With this being their first time on their own, Karasu and Todoroki were beyond ready to prove themselves.

"I'll head out on an ice trail, you fly overhead. If you spot them or run into them- get my attention over the comms." Todoroki said decidedly.

"Same to you. Don't rush in." Karasu looked at her boyfriend. "The reports may say this jailbreaker's quirk isn't much but that doesn't mean it's true. We need to get a better assessment of what's going on. We should search for an hour and regroup. We can pick a spot on the comms then."

Todoroki nodded and kissed his girlfriend quickly. "See you soon."

"See you soon," Karasu kissed him back and shot into the air.

She kept her wings wide as she flew, tapping a few settings on the side of her flight glasses- Hatsume had done a few upgrades to them for her, so now they could track for movement. She spotted Shoto and tapped the sides again to mark him as an ally so it wouldn't track his movements.

Karasu swooped away to fly in a wider circle over the forest. She glanced up at the timestamp in the corner of her glasses. It was about three in the afternoon. Reports stated that he was almost never sighted before three and after midnight. On police orders, after someone had lost their life because of him, no one was allowed in the forest until he was apprehended. That certainly made Karasu and Todoroki's mission easier because it meant they didn't have to clear out or look out for any civilians.

Karasu spotted movement and she landed on a branch, folding her wings tightly against her back so she wouldn't be easily spotted as she investigated the movement. She touched the comm piece in her ear softly to alert her boyfriend she may have spotted something.

She waited in silence for a moment- and let out a sigh as a Nara deer with two fawns trotted down a forest path happily.

She touched the comm again to alert him to a false alarm and took to the skies again.

Despite the tension of being on what was currently basically a hunting mission, Karasu still found flying to be so relaxing for her. She stretched her wings out to allow herself to conserve energy and glide as she kept searching through the trees. This almost reminded her of the training camp almost three years ago now- of fighting the dirt monsters. She had stayed in the sky nearly half a day to help her classmates keep sight of them and destroy what dirt monsters she could when they threw it up at her... that was also back when she had two arms. She let out a wistful sigh- she was beyond used to having one arm by now, but everything would certainly be easier if she had both of them still. Shinso had asked her once why she didn't ask Eri to return it to her- she had explained to him that she felt Eri's quirk should only be used in times of absolutely dire need, and as she was accustomed to the one armed life it wasn't a dire need.
