"All Might!" Midoriya blinked in surprise when they saw him.
"We asked him here," Bubble Girl covered her face as she cried, "because Sir admires him so much-"
"He asked to see you, Karasu." Centipede said gently, gesturing to her.
Karasu nodded, looking over at Midoriya for a moment before walking into the medical observation room. "Sir?" she asked carefully, walking to the edge of his hospital bed.
"Karasu. Hello." He turned his head to look at her.
She looked at him carefully, she didn't need to be clairvoyant to know he was going to die. "Hello," she echoed quietly. "Is this your death bed confession that Hawks did ask you to take me on?" she half-joked.
He smiled slightly. "No. He actually asked me not to, apparently he wanted you to go back to Endeavor."
I'm bringing that up later, she thought to herself.
"I asked you to join me because I knew you were headed towards a bright future." He smiled at her again. "Don't let your loss make you believe that is no longer true... and don't let your true name hold you back."
Karasu flinched slightly. "Chisaki knew who my parents are. I can't let my parents dictate my life still. Thank you... for giving me a chance." She smiled at him. "Oh- Hawks told me to tell you a joke I made earlier. I tried to use my right hand for something and I said "right. One arm... so I guess I should say 'left'."
Nighteye chuckled weakly. "Thank you for that, Karasu Takami. Never forget to live a life that makes you smile."
She hadn't heard her real name since she was eight years old, when Hawks had told her it. "I'll send All Might in now." Karasu said as she squeezed his hand gently and walked back to the observation room, nodding to All Might.
Karasu sat in one of the chairs and took a deep breath. "So... this is pro work."
"Sometimes." Aizawa knelt beside her, watching her expression carefully.
"I guess this is life, really. Loss." She moved to pick at her nails and sighed. "Now I really understand why Hawks doesn't talk much about his pro work." She started at the floor, her eyes almost glassy. She felt like she was spiralling. "Can I- can I go back to Hawks, please?"
Aizawa nodded. "I'll take you." They both stood up as Mirio rushed in and past them.
"Maybe I should stay." Karasu hesitated, tugging at the end of her braid.
"There's nothing more you can do." Aizawa put a hand on her shoulder.
Karasu nodded, following her teacher back down the hall. "Shinso's been doing really well, by the way." She told him once they got into the elevators.
"Good to know." Aizawa looked down at her again. "I hope you'll still be willing to train with him."

"Eraser Head and Recovery Girl are here in case anything goes wrong with these prosthetics." Hawks informed his sister as he set a row of new prosthetic arms up, still in their boxes. To work properly with her needs as a semi-pro, they had to be fully electric and connect to her brain waves.
That was also the problem.
"Alright. Fourth round of prosthetics, let's get this over with." Karasu sighed as she stood up. "I feel like we should just be focusing on getting me used to using my left hand instead of this."
"Having only one hand as a pro would be extremely challenging." Aizawa cautioned her.
"Say that when you get electric shocked nine times in an hour because you keep breaking all of them with your powers." Karasu sighed, holding her arm out for Hawks. "Let's get this over with."
