The Skrill soared through the stormy sky, feeling the electricity coursing through his veins. He loved the feeling of power and freedom that came with flying in the thunderclouds. He felt like he was one with the lightning, the wind, and the rain. He was a master of the elements, a king of the skies.
He spotted a flash of red below him, among the green hills and forests. He was curious and decided to investigate. He dived down, dodging the lightning bolts that struck around him. He saw a large figure standing on a hilltop, holding a hammer in his hand. The figure was tall and muscular, with red hair and beard, and wore a helmet, armor, and cape. He looked like a human, but much bigger and stronger.
The Skrill recognized him instantly. He had heard stories about him from other dragons. Even the dragons knew of him. He was Thor, the God of Thunder, the enemy of the giants, the protector of Asgard and Midgard. He was also a friend of humans, who worshipped him and named a day after him. He was a legend among both dragons and humans.
The Skrill felt a surge of fear and awe. He had never seen Thor before, but he knew he was powerful and dangerous. He also felt a surge of anger and pride. He did not like humans, who hunted and killed dragons for sport or glory. He also did not like anyone who claimed to be the lord of thunder and lightning. He wanted to challenge him, to prove his own might and superiority.
He roared loudly, announcing his presence and his defiance. He flew towards Thor, ready to unleash his stored lightning at him. He expected Thor to be surprised or scared, but he was not. Thor looked up at him and smiled. He raised his hammer and shouted, "Ha! A Skrill! A worthy opponent indeed! Come on then, dragon! Show me what you've got!"
Thor swung his hammer and threw it at the Skrill. The hammer flew with incredible speed and force, leaving a trail of sparks behind it. The Skrill dodged it narrowly, feeling the wind from its passage. He snarled and fired his lightning at Thor. Thor caught his hammer as it returned to his hand and raised it to block the lightning. The lightning hit the hammer and bounced off it, creating a loud boom.
Thor laughed and said, "Is that all you've got? You'll have to do better than that!"
He threw his hammer again at the Skrill, who dodged it again. The Skrill fired another blast of lightning at Thor, who blocked it again with his hammer. The two continued to exchange attacks, each trying to hit or evade the other.
The Skrill was surprised by Thor's skill and strength. He had never met anyone who could match him in combat. He was also impressed by Thor's courage and joy. He had never met anyone who enjoyed fighting as much as he did.
Thor was surprised by the Skrill's speed and power. He had never met a dragon who could challenge him in battle. He was also impressed by the Skrill's spirit and pride. He had never met a dragon who dared to face him as an equal.
The two felt a strange respect and admiration for each other, even as they tried to defeat each other.
They fought for a long time, until they were both exhausted and wounded. They realized that neither of them could win or lose this fight. They decided to end it in a draw.
They landed on the hilltop, facing each other with respect and curiosity.
Thor said, "You are a mighty dragon, Skrill. You have fought well and honorably."
The Skrill said, "Rrrrrrrrr!"
He meant to say, "You are a mighty god, Thor. You have fought well and honorably."
Thor understood him somehow.
He smiled and said, "Thank you, Skrill."
He reached out his hand to touch the Skrill's head gently.
The Skrill allowed him to do so.
He felt a strange warmth from Thor's touch.
He reached out his nose to nuzzle Thor's hand gently.
Thor felt a strange connection with the Skrill's gesture.
He said, "Perhaps we can be friends, Skrill."
The Skrill said, "Rrrrrrrrr!"
He meant to say, "Perhaps we can be friends, Thor."
Thor understood him somehow.
He smiled and said, "I would like that, Skrill."
He hugged the Skrill's neck softly.
The Skrill nuzzled him softly.
They felt a bond forming between them, stronger than thunder or lightning.
A bond of friendship.
A/N: The idea of having Germanic Deities being in a How To Train Your Dragon fanfic isn't new. It has been the case plenty of times. One of the most notable is "Game of the Gods" by Jeff20 on Fanfiction. I recommend reading it. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10600507/0/
A/N: This isn't Marvel. It's Norse Mythology. A reminder to those that are too used to seeing them in Marvel.
