A/N: Captain Marissa Faireborn is an officer in the Earth Defense Command. Tough and headstrong, she performs her duties with strict military professionalism. She may be small and squishy, but she sure knows how to use a knife. Even the Decepticons respect her as a proper adversary. Also, she's great at surfboarding.

A/N: She's an actual character from Transformers. Although she doesn't exist in the Aligned Continuity, which is a real shame.

A/N: Earth Defense Command is also a thing in Transformers. Like Marissa Faireborn, Earth Defense Command isn't featured in the Aligned Continuity.

A/N: Onyx Primes' relic, the Triptych Mask, is one of the relics not featured in the series, so I took some liberties of bringing the Triptych Mask into this oneshot.

The Autobots had finally managed to regroup after a fierce battle with the Decepticons, who had built a massive fortress called Darkmount on Earth. They had destroyed the fortress with the help of their human allies, Agent William Fowler and the kids Jack, Miko and Raf. Now, they were gathered in their new base, Hanger E, to plan their next move.

"Team Prime, I'd like you to meet someone," Fowler said, as he entered the base with a woman in a blue uniform. "This is Captain Marissa Faireborn of the Earth Defense Command. She's been working with me to track down the Decepticon activity on this planet."

"Hello, Autobots. It's an honor to meet you," Marissa said, saluting them.

"Likewise, Captain," Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots, said. "We are grateful for your assistance."

"I have some important information for you," Marissa continued. "We've discovered the location of a Cybertronian relic that hasn't been found yet. It's called the Triptych Mask, and it belonged to one of the original Primes, Onyx Prime."

The Autobots gasped in surprise and curiosity.

"Onyx Prime?" Ratchet, the medic of the Autobots, asked. "He was one of the first thirteen Transformers created by Primus, the creator of our race. He was known for his affinity with beasts and his ability to see things others can't: times, places, souls, and even the afterlife."

"That's right," Marissa nodded. "The Triptych Mask is composed of three masks that grant different powers to the wearer. The top mask, Farsight, shows visions of other places and times. The middle mask, Predator, gives Onyx immediate insight into any creature so that he can hunt it faultlessly. The bottom mask, Mournsong, allows Onyx to watch the journey of a Spark across the hidden regions of death."

"That sounds incredible," Arcee, a female Autobot warrior, said. "But why would we need such a relic?"

"Because it might help us find a way to restore Cybertron," Optimus said. "Our home planet was ravaged by the war between Autobots and Decepticons, and its core went offline. We've been searching for a way to revive it ever since."

"Maybe the Triptych Mask can show us a clue or a solution," Bumblebee, a young and brave Autobot scout, suggested.

"Or maybe it can help us locate other lost relics or allies," Bulkhead, a strong and loyal Autobot soldier, added.

"Or maybe it can help us predict the Decepticons' next move," Smokescreen, a rookie Autobot who idolized Optimus Prime, said.

"Or maybe it can help us communicate with our fallen comrades," Wheeljack, a former Wrecker and a friend of Bulkhead, said.

"Or maybe it can help us understand ourselves better," Ultra Magnus, the second-in-command of the Autobots and a former Wrecker, said.

The Autobots looked at each other with hope and excitement.

"Where is the Triptych Mask?" Optimus asked Marissa.

"It's in an ancient temple in Peru," Marissa answered. "We've been monitoring it for a while, but we haven't been able to access it. It's protected by some kind of security system that only responds to Cybertronian signals."

"Then we must go there at once," Optimus said. "The Triptych Mask could be vital for our cause."

"I'll go with you," Marissa offered. "I have a jet that can take us there."

"Thank you, Captain," Optimus said. "Let's roll out."

Team Prime then arrived at Peru, looking for the Triptych Mask, hoping to get it before the Decepticons did, while Ratchet and the human allies Jack, June, Miko, Rafael, and Fowler stayed behind at base. Captain Marissa Faireborn went along with them, wearing flexible yet durable armor that offered her protection and mobility, while flying her own VTOL aircraft. She tapped her comlink, telling her forces to wait until she gave the signal to attack the Decepticons if things got out of hand.

The Autobots transformed into their vehicle modes and followed Marissa's VTOL aircraft to the location of the temple. They scanned the area for any signs of Decepticon activity.

"Looks clear," Arcee said.

"Too clear," Bumblebee said with uneasiness.

"Maybe we got here first," Smokescreen said in confusion.

"Or maybe it's a trap," Wheeljack said with caution, knowing too well that traps have been a thing many times during the war back on Cybertron.

"Either way, we have to be careful," Ultra Magnus said firmly.

"Agreed," Optimus Prime said.

The Autobots transformed into their robot modes. Marissa Faireborn then landed her VTOL near the entrance to the temple as she got off. They then follow her inside the temple. They scanned the walls and the floor for any clues or dangers.

"This place is amazing," Bulkhead, a strong and loyal Autobot soldier, said. "It must have been built by ancient humans who knew about Cybertron."

"Or maybe by ancient Cybertronians who visited Earth," Arcee said.

"Or maybe by both," Optimus said. "There is much we do not know about our history and our connection to this planet."

"Maybe the Triptych Mask can tell us more," Smokescreen said. "I wonder what it looks like."

"It's probably a big metal helmet with three faces on it," Wheeljack said.

"Or maybe it's a small device that fits over your optics," Bumblebee said.

"Or maybe it's something else entirely," Ultra Magnus said.

"Let's find out," Optimus said. "The Triptych Mask should be in the center of the temple. Let's go."

A/N: As far as Marissa Faireborn knows about the Triptych Mask is concerned, I'm leaving that up to you to interpret how that became the case. Again, don't ask me like I have all the answers.
