SIENNA PEREZ
Sienna wasn't exactly terrified of Dante, but she wasn't comfortable around him. Infact she wasn't comfortable around any other man than Nicholas. She realised it today, when she was standing in a room full of those people, she didn't know. She felt intimidated by them, that was true, but the moment Nicholas's hold on her hand tighten, as if her body suddenly got to know that he'll protect her.
Just that way he did that day.
Even she knew that Nicholas noticed it, when she stepped closer than usual, to him. But he didn't comment and Sienna was thankful for that.Till today, she didn't understand one thing that how Nicholas never looked at her, the way other people did. Even today, when stood in front of several questioning eyes, they also looked at her the same way. It was only Nicholas who never looked at her like that, like she was a scared girl, like she was broken beyond repair.
As soon as Sienna stepped inside Dante's library. She stopped at the entrance, this library was like a king size version of the library that Nicholas had at his penthouse. Even though the library in the penthouse was also very big in spacious in size but this one was bigger.
"Take a seat, Sienna."
Dante said taking his own seat behind the desk.Sienna stepped forward and took the opposite seat. And immediately hid her fumbling hands, under the table.
"First of all, you did good today. Your words.... I bet everyone was impressed by your words. It made me proud." Dante said, looking proud.
Sienna nodded her head in response with a small smile. And she noticed Dante's eyes going soft.
"Sienna, I called you here to tell you that, you have nothing to worry here." Sienna looked at him with furrow brows. "You're like my Anna, and when I say it. I mean it. You're like my daughter. And you'll be treated the same way. Infact with even more respect, considering the fact that you're the queen of Cosa Nostra now." Dante said with a polite smile. And continued,
"I know that the circumstances were odd when you came here but now, everything will be right. Nobody will disrespect you ever again. I won't let that happen. Infact Nick won't let that happen either. I know it's an arranged marriage for both of you, but let me tell you one thing, My son knows how to treat a woman right. So, you won't be disappointed. And as for you, you can live here the way you won't. You don't have any restriction, Sienna. Yes, you'll have your own duties as a queen and i know you'll do good in that. Other than that, it is your home now, your family, and i want you to feel comfortable here. Feel at home, Sienna." Dante completes his sentence with a polite and warming smile. In the past whenever a handful of times Sienna heard her father talking about Dante Accardi or the Italian Mafia Don, she never imagined he'll be like this. She always thought he'll be a cruel Mafia Don, who knows no mercy, who doesn't know gentleness or calmness. But today, in this moment, when Sienna was looking at Dante, she knew it was not the Italian Mafia Don talking, it was a father talking. Who was now her father in law. And who looked at Sienna as his daughter. And he was doing this, because he not only looked at Sienna as his daughter but he also believed her to be his daughter.
He was making her feel comfortable, he was giving her reassurance, which her own father didn't give her.
Sienna's eyes were filled with tears, she didn't know how to react to the things he said. She knew she doesn't have to fear about Nicholas because he was a proper gentleman not only to her, but generally in his nature. She knew after becoming the queen she'll be treated with respect but after hearing these things from Dante, she was speechless. Overwhelmed. All at once.
With still tears in her eyes Sienna said, "Th... thankyou, it .... It means a lot." Sienna whispered softly. And Dante smiled in return.
"Let's go, everyone might be waiting for us." Dante says and stands up from his desk. Sienna follows the same and then she heard her father in law say, "And Sienna, call me Dad, even in private. It sounds nice."
