Chapter 46

NICHOLAS ACCARDI

As soon as Nicholas' eyes landed on his wife, fear griped him tightly because only the look on Sienna's face was enough to let him know that, even if she has to go back with her father to save Nicholas, she would do just that without even blinking her eyes. And the thought alone of Sienna going away from him, scared him more than anything ever could.

He kept looking at Sienna, waiting and wishing for her to look in his direction but Sienna just stood their with Kai and looked straight into her father's eyes. 

Nicholas knew still a small part in Sienna was scared of the past life she lived, and now when she was standing face to face with that past, standing face to face with the person who was a part of that past and most importantly the person who played an important role in that past, he could clearly the fear and pain in those beautiful eyes. Even though Sienna was trying to maintain a poker face, by not giving anything to her father but her eyes were deceiving her. 

SIENNA PEREZ

Sienna kept her head and eyes straight towards her father, because she knew if she looked at Nicholas right now she won't be to take the decision she was about to take. Her father was looking at her too, his eyes a little softer, but not filled with warmth. Every time Sienna looked into her father's eyes, she definitely found them softening for her but she couldn't find the warmth in them, or maybe it is her eyes that never looked at father with the feeling of warmth. 

They say every girl wants a husband like her father, but ever since Sienna was a little girl, she always wished that she never marry a guy who was like her father, or had the habits same as her father. And then she met Nicholas. She thought God didn't listen to her wishes, she made since she was 5 years old. That even the God betrayed the little Sienna, but oh how wrong she was. Because maybe her husband belonged to the same field of work as her father, but they were polar opposite. 

Her father was always a man, who believed in asserting authority, who believed in being loyal to his religion, which was his work. Her father was man who was never ready to look at life ordinarily, he never even tried to give Sienna an ordinary life. Her father was someone who believed emotions were useless, maybe because he never felt them or because he never tried to feel them. But the man Sienna married was nothing like him, Nicholas was a man who never believed in asserting authority because he himself was an authority. That man, wasn't living in the world, he was owning it with each breath. And even after being so big, there was never a moment when Sienna felt she was living an extraordinary life. Every single moment, whether it be cooking with him in the kitchen or watching the movie and fighting over popcorn, everything was as ordinary as it could get, and this was something she always yearned for. To live life ordinarily, to look at life with ordinary eyes. Nicholas was the most loyal man, and even he loved his work as his only religion and gave it, his all but Sienna always knew that if one day he has to choose between his work and Sienna, his choice will be his wife, because in that moment Sienna will become his religion and he will devote his life for his religion. 

And now as she looked at that man sitting down on his knees with a gun pointed towards his head, Sienna knew even if she has to give up on her life to make him live longer, she will do just that. And she will count her lucky stars that she got to live with him and experience everything she couldn't before.

"Leave him." Sienna spoke to her father, finally.

And as soon as the words were out of Sienna's mouth, she noticed her father's eyes turning hard.
