As she took in the scene in front of her, her doe eyes widened. Immediately after it had been lost upon seeing him, color returned to her cheeks and ears. Her breathing became faster. Her hands began to tremble, and she was unable to continue to support herself. She had no idea how much she had yearned for his presence. Everyone in the room turned to look at her after she tripped over and fell onto her chair, including him. Ali was peering at her with an evil grin while Zaviyaan simply gave her a fleeting glance before getting up to leave. In the end, his suspicions had turned out to be accurate. He shook his head and said to himself, "This is going to be so much fun."
"Oww! Why did you do it, mama?" He grumbled because Pashmeena had hit him very hard.
"I've called you nonstop for the last five minutes, but all you do is laugh out loud by yourself like a madman. Now leave and don't aggravate me."
"It's unfortunate, mama, that all you see is me when something much more exciting is about to take place in this home," I said. Rooh was the target of this comment, he remarked, staring at her to make sure she understood. Her eyes opened, but she quickly recovered and continued, "You sound like Khliba Aunty, she was our neighbor, she liked to force her nose in everyone's business but one day while spying people mistook her for a thief and called cops on her," she dramatically groaned.
"After that, nobody ever saw her again," she mocked him while grinning innocently. He quickly hurried out of the kitchen after forcing a phony laugh. He sighed and said, "Can't even breathe in front of bhai, mere saamne he sab sher ban jaate hai."
In the meantime, Rooh grinned triumphantly and got up from the table to make it to school on time.
A FEW HOURS LATER >
Rooh was breathless and tried to regain her breath because she had run so quickly to get home in time to begin making the cake for him. Cake would have to do it for today because she had made the decision to cook butter chicken at a later date. Strawberries that she had already brought on her way home were kept on the kitchen table. She swiftly changed into a set of cozy clothes as she moved towards her room. She marched toward the kitchen and began her spell once she had recovered a bit.
She finished the cake after over an hour, hastily put it in the freezer, and then went to her room to take a nap.
