Chapter 5

"Mama, can we take a picture?" Kalias loved taking pictures, and yes he did get that from his mama. "Of course let me finish getting ready." Kalias was already dressed. I packed us matching outfits because he loves matching me. He wore a plain black shirt, black jeans to match, and black forces to match. I wore a black bodysuit, black jeans, and my black red bottom thigh high heels.

He was looking out the window as I put my gold earrings in. Along with putting my lashes on and my lipgloss. I didn't want to wear a lot of makeup since it wasn't really a special occasion and I love my natural face.

Once I was done Kalias and I took some pictures. After we took pictures everything was going as planned. After we got a taxi I asked him to take us to the "Da Nella."

He squealed in excitement as we pulled in front of the cafe. "Grazie." I chuckled out to the man as I gave him the cash. He smiled softly nodding his head, " piacere mio" My pleasure

We walked into the cafe. They weren't as busy as they were yesterday when we drove by. They had a library and cafe all in one, it was beautiful. Downstairs they had the cafe part along with places to sit then stairs that lead to the library part.

It came time for us to order, "Mama can I have a Vanilla shake and chocolate muffin." He let go of my hand wrapping his small arm around my thick thigh. I chuckled, "Posso avere due muffin al cioccolato, un frullato alla vaniglia piccolo e un frullato alla fragola medio?"

Can I have two chocolate muffins, one small vanilla shake, and one medium strawberry shake?

The blonde haired lady smiled softly, " Certo, siediti e ti manderò il tuo ordine."

Of course, sit down and I will send you your order.

" ok, andiamo a dare un'occhiata alla biblioteca." I said picking up Kalias walking up the stairs. As we walked around we found some stuff we liked. He loved the pictures in the Dora and Diego book. "Can we take this home?" He asked, "No but when we get home I can get you a Diego and Dora book." He hummed.

We walked downstairs and sat at one of the tables now that he was done reading or looking at the pictures since he couldn't really read yet.

The same woman walked over giving us our order, "Grazie" I said, she smiled nodding her head. The ding behind us made it known that someone walked in. "So do you see mystery woman?" I heard a deep voice say. "It was just a dream." Another voice said, they sound so familiar.

"Mama, I'm done." My son said he finished his chocolate muffin with some of it around his mouth. "Wipe your mouth baby." He took the napkin from the table, wiping his mouth. "Do you want to take this with you?" I asked, referring to the rest of the shake, he shook his head no. I nodded, as we got up to leave I noticed his shoe was untied. I bent down typing his shoes, I looked up hitting a hard wall. I looked up making eye contact, it was a wall.

"Shit." I cursed.

He stared at me in shock, "K-KaiLani?" He stuttered out, "Mommy that man looks like daddy." My attention now turned to Kalias who's hugging my leg behind me. I grabbed Kalias and walked out the door. He came running out behind me, I waited for a Taxi.

"KaiLani, is he mine?" I tried my best to ignore him. "KaiLani is-"I cut him off yelling. "Yes! Yes he is but you didn't know that because the night I found out, I called you and you said you wanted nothing to do with me," I noticed the attention turning to us, I got close to him and whispered "You said you wanted nothing to do with me, so don't try and come back into my life."

A taxi showed up, "Puoi portarmi al Sea Life Aquarium?" The man nodded as he drove off, I could hear Ace yell my name. "Puoi portarmi al Sea Life Aquarium?"

Can you get me to the Sea Life Aquarium?

After the drive there I paid the man and we walked into the Aquarium. I gave the man our tickets and we walked around.

Kalias looked at everything from star fish, eels, sting rays, seahorse, etc. We stood under the glass and watched the animals swim all around. "Mommy, was that daddy?" I knew he was going to ask the question sooner or later. I sighed, kneeling down to his height. "Yes it was, I-I didn't know he was here in Italy. Mommy is still mad at your dad for leaving. I'm sorry I ruined this trip, Kalias." He wrapped his arms around my neck. "You didn't ruin the trip, but I did want to talk to daddy." He said.

"You can talk to me after I talk to mama." A familiar voice said behind Kalias. Kalias turned around walking to his dad. "Hi." His soft voice says, his dead kneel down. "Hey, What's your name?" "Kuwias." He said, I chuckled, "He means Kalias." He reached his hand out and smiled, "Nice to meet you Kalias I'm Ace." Kalias stared at Ace before wrapping his arms around Ace's neck hugging him. Ace hesitated before placing a hand on his back hugging him back.

Kalias ran towards me grabbing my finger, "looking mommy it's a shark." He pointed with his other hand, I smiled. "Look, it's a seahorse." I pointed out. He looked fascinated by the animals.

After a while of looking at the animals, he yawned. I picked him up carrying him. He started to fall asleep, A figure appeared next to me. "We need to talk." I sighed rolling my eyes, "Look if you want to be in Kalias life we can work that out if not then that's fine with me I really don't give a fuck."

I felt his eyes stare into the side of my head as I watched the animals swimming around. "Why do you hate me so much?"

I chuckled, turning into his direction looking in his eyes, "You broke up with me weeks after my birthday. Okay coo I'll just move on no big deal. I find out I'm pregnant, I call you. You answer, what happens? Oh let me remind you. You said and I quote, " Listen I'm done with you, I don't love you anymore. I don't want shit to do with you. Get that shit through your head." Right or wrong?" I said, he sighed. "Listen I-"

I cut him off this time a little more sternly, "Right or wrong?" His head hangs low before answering, "Right." He said barley over a whisper. "I called you more times after that if we're being honest, but you didn't answer. You didn't care. I don't know why you want to be in his life now, you weren't here before." I began to walk off ready to go back to the hotel.

"You need me, you can't do this by yourself. Stop keeping my son from me." He said, I stopped, I turned around walking back towards him. "I don't know what the hell is wrong with you but I went through every doctor's appointment, 9 months of pregnancy, birth and 4 years of birthday, doctors appointments, and special moments without YOU. I don't know why the Fuck you think I need you but I DO NOT NEED YOU, never have and never will. I tried to tell you about your son, you did give a fuck. YOU are the reason you aren't in your son's life. It's not my fault, the doctors fault, the governments fault, hell even the world's fault, it's yours. IT'S YOUR FAULT ACE. I'm gonna say this one last time and I hope I make myself clear on this. If you want to be In Kalias life I'm NOT going to stop you but if you think you're going to take my child or be disrespectful to me in any type of way YOU'RE WRONG. Now if you want to pretend that you never saw him and go back to whatever hell hole you climbed out of I wouldn't give shit."

He looked at me with an unreadable emotion on his face. I continued walking out with my child in my arms. I walked down the street waiting for my taxi to arrive. A car pulled up beside me, "Get in KaLani." I ignored him waiting for a taxi. Once I send a taxi pull up I walk towards it getting in. I told him the destination and he drove off.

This is not what I had planned for this trip.
