Chapter 33 (Kalias's Birthday )

I arrived kind of late to the house but Zane let me inside. I gave him a hug, "How's he holding up?" I asked, Zane picked up my bags carrying them upstairs as we talked. "He's- being Ace. He doesn't want to rest because he doesn't want to think he's hurt or needs to rest. Ace was also waiting for you but somehow Darien convinced him to take a nap." I rolled my eyes, "At least we know him being held hostage didn't change anything." I shrugged. He nodded agreeing with me.

"I'll see what I can do? Is there anything else I need to know?" I asked as we arrived outside of Ace's bedroom. "Oh he has pain medication he takes every four hours he's also going to need to clean his stitches and pretty much just take it easy for a couple of weeks." I nodded, "thank you." I said. He nodded, giving me a hug, "of course."

He walked away then stopped in his tracks, "Also Kalias got here not too long ago, he's already had his bath and is in bed." I nodded. "Thank you so much, I don't know how I could repay you." I whispered. He chuckled, "Never leave this family, You mean a lot to us. Kind of like the sister I've never had and I love having my Nephew around." Hearing his words meant a lot to me, all I did was nod and say okay as we went our separate ways.

Once walking into the room, the sight of Ace sleeping with a bandage across his chest covering I'm guessing the cut. My eyes then darted to the silk black bonnet on his head. I couldn't help but take a picture then laugh slightly at it. I hopped in the shower too tired to unpack. I slid next to Ace in the bed rolling over so my back was towards him.

I felt the bed shift and cold skin hit my waist . I look down seeing Aces' face against the side of my waist with his arm around my hips. "Ace, you can't sleep like this, it's painful and you won't heal quickly sleeping like this." He hummed, getting comfortable, "I don't care." I rolled my eyes, "How about if you lay on your back, I'll lay near you." He whined, "No, I don't want to."

"Baby, you have to." He huffed, then moved on his back, "Thank you baby." I moved to his waist underneath the bandage laying my head on his stomach while he wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "I still think my way was better." He mumbled. As much as Ace denies it, he's such a brat. But I love that about him.

*Beep*Beep*Beep*

I groaned as my alarm went off, detaching myself from Ace's side I walked into the bathroom taking a shower. After my shower I threw on a gray hoodie, black biker shorts, and my White forces. My silk scarf was still tied around my head as I walked out the house to go pick up some groceries from the store. I remembered to grab my blade before leaving.

While at the store I remembered to go get some birthday bags for his toys. After that I paid for everything then left the store.

I checked the time which read, 6:30am. I began cooking the BBQ meatballs along with cheese dip. As everything was getting prepared I also needed to make the salad.

8:30am

Everything was done, now I began preparing the set up. Thank god the party doesn't start until 2:30 the whole setup was outside in the backyard, after going back inside I heard the doorbell ring, I pulled out my gun just in case but looked outside before opening the door seeing Luka and one of our actual loyal members Zayden. Zayden was around 6'0  lightskin, with curly hair and tattoos. Zayden was also with his girlfriend Teanna. Teanna was a beautiful 5'5 petite dark skin with locs and my best friend other than Luka."
