Chapter 29

Warning: Very emotional chapter... I'm sorry 😞

I paced back and forth around my office after texting Lani back. She won't be here for another 7 hours, meaning she won't get back until eleven something. The plan with Harvey was already set into place.

Tomorrow night he's having an event at his house, not only was the event an open event it was at his house. It seemed to.....easy. Although Harvey is very dumb he knows how we move. This is where shit always goes south. I need to put myself in Harvey's shoes.

Harvey met KaiLani, if he took interest in her because she's pretty and he's a manwhore first thing I would do is a background check. His sister Heaven is really good at finding out shit, Personal stalker.

If he did do a background check he knows about Kalias and If he dug deep he knows that Ace is Kalias's father. I pray to god he didn't go that far. If KaiLani is gone then that would be easy access to Ace, but how would he know she's gone?

Realization hit Shit, I picked up my phone clicking on KaiLani's contact texting her.

I threw my phone down. So this is confusing because, since Kylie was on the phone with Harvey... I think. He most likely knows that KaiLani's gone since Kylie's with KaiLani. What's confusing is Why hasn't he tried to attack us yet? I mean KaiLani isn't here and if he wanted KaiLani Kylie could just kill her right now and take her to Harvey. What am I missing?

I sat in silence for a while rethinking everything, trying to fit all the pieces together. My heart dropped at the conclusion I came up with, What if he's not attacking us or having Kylie kill KaiLani because it's not KaiLani he's going directly after. It's Ace. KaiLani told me Harvey attacked Ace directly but failed. Since he can't get to Ace and Win and he knows KaiLani could kill Kylie there's only one option left.... Kalias.

Anyone knows if you can't beat someone directly you aim for their weak spots, Kalias is both Ace and KaiLani's weak spot. KaiLani is on the way back which he knows because of Kylie and Ace is left with Kalias.

Me: KaiLani Layton Brown we don't have time right now, Please

Lani wit a body 😝: 06*-***-**** Luka what's going on?

Me: The plan involves Ocean (Kalias middle name ). I'm trying to warn them ahead of time, Trust me. I'm not telling you right now but when you get here I'll tell you everything.

Lani wit a body 😝: Fuck do you mean it involves Ocean. When I get there you better tell me everything, messing with me is one thing but my child is different.

Me: See this why I ain't told your crazy ass everything yet because not only are you going to want to Kill that bitch Kylie but H at same time. So just be calm.

I dialed the number that Lani sent to me. Straight to voicemail. I called again, straight to voicemail. My leg bounced anxiously as the phone went straight to voicemail. I FaceTimed Kalias on his tablet.

Kalias: Uncle Luka I'm scared. His voice cracked as he cried.

Me: What's wrong? What's going on baby.

Kalias: Me, Daddy, and Uncle Darien were playing with my WWE action figures and we heard a loud noise. Uncle Darien picked me up and ran down the hall. He told me to hide in the floor, it's really dark here.

Me: it's gonna be okay, calm down stop crying.

There was a voice booming, Kalias shushed me. "You gotta be quiet uncle Luka somebody's in here." There were a few loud footsteps, after a while a familiar voice called out. "Kalias, where are you?" Harvey

Kalias tried his best to stay as quiet as possible. The footsteps got closer and closer. Another voice said, "Boss we couldn't find him." Harvey laughed loudly, "I guess I got to give Ace credit he thought smart with this one." A loud bang rang through the phone's microphone, Kalias gasp as another silent cry fell from his lips.

"Ace, I'm glad you decided to join us." Harvey yelled. Another shot rang, Harvey groaned. "It's funny how I was always two steps ahead and now you know my every move. Where's the boy?" He said. "Like I'd tell you." Another shot rang.

"Tell me." He yelled. Silence. "I respect that, but if I can't take the boy I guess I'll settle for you. Gather the crew, let's get out of here." Not too long after the sound of the door slamming was heard. After a few minutes of silence, "I want my mommy." Kalias cried, "I know Baby I know." Hearing Kalias cry for help knowing I couldn't be there to help him broke my heart. I tried my hardest to hold back tears of anger.

Harvey has messed with the wrong fucking one.
