Chapter 36

~December 21st 2023~

Since I didn't really get that much time to spend with Luka in New York, Luka decided to come to Italy to spend time with Kalias and I. We decided everyone was going to stay with us since it's around Christmas time and I want Kalias to have all of the people who love him under one roof.

Ace went out and bought Kalias a bunch of gifts. I couldn't wait to go home and see my little baby. I've been at work for four hours. I didn't work that long since it's a holiday weekend and I took off.

Parking my car in the garage, grabbing my things before walking to the door. Before I could get in the door good enough to take my shoes off as I entered the house I heard small footsteps down the stairs. I looked up seeing Kalias coming down the stairs holding the rail with Luka and Darien following behind him.

"Mommy!" Kalias's small voice yelled running towards me. I picked him up, putting him on my hip, giving him a kiss on the forehead. "Hey bubba, how was your day?" I asked. He smiled brightly showing his dimples. "Good, how was your day?" He returned. "Tiring." I sighed. He jumped down from my hip, grabbing my hand. He led me to the kitchen wanting me to sit down.

He walked over to the pantry, "You have to eat mama." My heart fluttered. "I'm going to eat after I get out of these clothes and take a shower." I got up from the seat walking out, "okay." He said, still looking around in the pantry. I chuckled softly before leaving.

I walked into Ace's room and he was nowhere to be found. I shrugged it off going into the shower. A while into my shower I heard the bedroom door close following Ace walking into the bathroom. "Hey, baby." He said leaning in the doorway. I smiled softly, "Hey."

After my shower I put on a simple oversized t-shirt with some biker shorts. "How was your day?" Ace said, walking up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist. "Tiring, I'm ready to just chill at home with my family." He hummed, placing his head in the crook of my neck. I ran my fingers through his hair, "You okay?" I asked.

He moved away from me not forgetting to smack my ass. "Yeah I'm fine, why?" He said grabbing clothes from the closet to go take a shower. "You seem....off like somethings wrong." I squinted my eyes in his direction. He avoided eye contact. Weird.

I scrolled through tick tock as Ace showered. My stomach growled loudly. I got up to run downstairs and get me a something to eat. I opened the fridge and saw the chicken spaghetti from last night in the fridge. I opened it, putting some in a bowl to heat up in the microwave.

After the food was done I grabbed it out of the microwave. The smell of the food made me gag. I placed my hand over my mouth running to the nearest bathroom. Reaching the bathroom I fell to my knees as I vomited into the toilet bowl. Once I was finished I got off the floor, flushing the toilet. I used the water to rinse my mouth out.

I turned to see Luka in the doorway. "What?" I asked. He squinted his eyes, "check your period tracker thing." I opened my mouth to ask why but was quickly cut off by him just saying "do it."

I opened my phone and went to an app called "My calendar" that tracks my period. It showed. "1 month late." My eyes almost popped out of my head, I scoffed. "This could be wrong." He crossed his arms giving me an "why you fucking lying" look.

He whipped out two boxes of pregnancy tests and a cup, handing it to me. "I'll be outside." He stepped out, closing the door. I sighed looking down at the box. Fuck it, why not get clarification. I opened the box taking the clear blue test.

After taking the test Luka and I stood in the bathroom waiting for results, for some odd reason I felt like I was pregnant but didn't know why. So it's kinda good I took this test. I know all pregnancies are different but my first one I didn't really feel pregnant, I didn't have most of the symptoms people had. I threw up probably twice in that entire pregnancy which was at the beginning.

I got tired easily and all that but mood wise I think I just got pissed off faster than normal but everything else still the same other than the fact I was pregnant.

This time my feet hurt, my back hurt. And I'm throwing up, also I feel my iron is low as fuck. At work today I craved the smell of cleaning supplies and fought the urge to go smell some. That could just be low iron but why not get clarification on it.

I was washing my hands as The first pregnancy test the lines started to fade, a cross in the first blank then going to a regular straight line. I stared not knowing what to do, "oh my god." Is all I could fix to get out my mouth. The second pregnancy test blinked for a while then showing "Pregnant 3+ Weeks."

The realization that I'm really pregnant hit me, tears brimmed my eyes. I looked over towards Luka, he smiled brightly. He leaned over and hugged me around my shoulders as I hugged him around his waist crying of excitement. Once I got done crying I pulled back from the hug, Luka wiped my tears. "I hope it's a girl but as long as the baby's health and doing well that's all that matters."

He bounced out of excitement softly yelling, "I'm gonna be an uncle again." Repeatedly. I couldn't help but laugh at the scene in front of me. I picked up the test holding them to my chest. "How do you think Ace is going to react?" I asked, Luka sighed. "Girl ain't no telling but if he's anything but excited or happy I'm gonna beat his ass." I smiled, hugging Luka. "I love you LukBug." "I love you too Lani."

We gathered ourselves before walking out of the bathroom. I kept the pregnancy test putting them in the waistband of my shorts covering it with my shirt. I have an idea. I walked back to the kitchen and got my still warm chicken spaghetti. I put some in my mouth, moaning softly as the taste was so amazing. "How the fuck you eating it but it made you sick?" Luka asked. "Ion know but this shit is good as fuck." He stared in confusion later just letting it go with a shrug.

"We keep this between us. I have an idea on the announcement though." He nodded, "Okay, do you need anything from me before I go to bed?" I nodded, "No, but thank you for being there for me and my moral support." He walked towards me kissing my forehead, "Anything darling. Good night Lani with a body." I laughed as he walked out. "Good night LukBug."

After finishing my food I walked back to the bedroom. While Ace was in the bathroom brushing his teeth I quickly ran into the closet grabbing a long empty jewelry box putting the test in, hiding it with Kalias Christmas gifts.

Walking back into the bedroom with Ace now laying in the bed shirtless and only in boxers. His eyes shifted towards me as he looked me up and down then smiled at me. I walked over towards him laying on his bare chest. The smell of soap and body wash along with cologne filled my nostrils. "You smell so good." I mentioned. He chuckled, "thank you mama."

"You're welcome. I'm so sleepy." My eyes fluttered close, "Go to sleep, I'm finna go to sleep too." "Mkay, good night." With that my eyes closed letting the darkness take over.

Y'all I know most people don't do this. I already have baby names and stuff but I wanna hear y'all's baby names.

Yall so I had debate tournaments last weekend and the weekend before that. So in poetry I got 3rd place and I got a bye in IPDA ( A bye is an automatic Win ) but did I place fuck no. I'm not that good in it, well depends on the topic honestly.
