Felix pov~
Vampires, half dead creatures that need to drink blood to keep themselves somewhat alive. A self-inflicted curse done through black magic. Not made often and mostly are old, they can't stand fire and sunlight. Good thing I am an expert in fire magic.
I glared at the six rotting corpses in my home and saw two chupacabras enter as well. Chupacabras are usually the pets of vampires. They are gross wolf like creatures with random patches of hair on them. They only drink blood and have short lives.
The one that hit me nodded to the ones behind it, and two of them quickly snatched up the egg on the fireplace. My anger grew tenfold, and I launched myself towards them, but that lead vampire blocked my path. The two vampires quickly left through my door with the chupacabras following after them.
"You can't fight all of us," the lead vampire hissed with an evil glint in its eyes. I smirked at it. Even if they were stronger than me, I had the upper hand. I looked at the flames in the fireplace and felt my eyes glow slightly. I let loose a high-pitched screech, and the others put their hands over their ears. The perfect distraction, as I made the flames burst out of the fireplace and hit their backs. Four of them died as the flames consumed them, leaving them as piles of ash. The lead vampire managed to doge it just in time, now looking stressed. I took that moment to dash forward and sliced his head off with my wing. He became a pile of ash at my feet.
Not giving them another thought, I rushed outside to find the egg-nappers, I stopped in my tracks at the sight of my village. It was now raining, I can only assume because of some vampire spell. Vampires were everywhere, attacking everyone. Their hideous pets, chupacabras, following them around. I started to breathe fast, freaking out, not knowing what to do. Find the egg or help the village. I glanced towards the dense part of the jungle and saw a glint of gold. I watched it for a moment before I ripped my gaze away and ran into the village.
I felt that fire burn inside of me once more, and my tail, hair, and wings caught fire. Without a second thought, I ran towards the nearest vampire and sliced it in half. The woman fighting it looked greatfully at me, I gave her a quick nod and then shifted to a full bird. Still on fire, I flew easily into the air and spit fire at the vampires and chupacabras from above. Some died, and some got put out by the rain, and the chupacabras ran around on fire.
I landed in front of Steven's parents, shifting to half form mid-air and slicing the two vampires attacking them, turning them to ash. I quickly cut into the neck of the chupacabra that was behind them, and it fell to the ground, dead. Steven stepped out of his house, scared and confused.
"What is going on," Steven yelled over the sound of rain and fighting, looking around frantically.
"Vampires are attacking, help if you can, I need to burn as many as I can," I responded quickly, then jumped off the bridge. I glanced around and saw more of them attacking people in their homes, so I headed to them first. I took out any monster I came across in houses and outside. I was their greatest threat, being a fire magic user. So they all began to swarm me.
I was on the ground surrounded by 7 vampires and 3 chupacabras. 3 of the vampires came at me at once, and I leaped into the air and then spit fire down on them. I landed back down on their ashes, fanning out my tail of flames and hissing. Two of the chupacabras rushed towards me, and i spun slicing into their spines, killing them. Before more fighting was done, we heard a loud horn in the distance. The vampires and their pets quickly shot off and away at a blinding speed, I threw more fire at their backs, killing a few.
I calmed down some, and my feathers went back to normal. I looked around at the mess left behind by them. A few homes had holes in them, and some people were leaning on others or walls in pain. It looked like no one was killed... but the egg was gone. My mind began to flood with questions. Why did they take the egg? How did I fly so well in my bird form? Why did they attack? I was brought out of my thoughts by a cheer. I looked up to see the whole village cheering for me because I saved them. I weakly smiled and then climbed up the bridge to Steven, high winging some birds on the way.
"Wow, that was amazing. You were amazing," Steven praised me as he shook my shoulders. I sighed and looked up at the clouds, now disappearing. The sun came back out now lower in the sky.
"I guess, but they stole... my dad's egg," I mumbled in confusion and looked back at Steven. He paused for a moment, then smiled at me.
"It is just a decoration," he comforted me, and I nodded my head slowly. He is right it is just a decoration. I shifted back to human form and looked around me. Birds were flying everywhere, trying to put things back together. Others were taking the wounded to the healers hut on the ground where Nadine was waiting. She was moving her white wings over people, healing the worst of wounds. I began to help wherever I could, getting pats on the back every now and then.

I stirred awake and saw the ground rushing below me, I was breathing hard. I struggled to lift my head up and saw the sun nearing the horizon. Sera glanced back at me and saw I was awake. She moved behind the one carrying me.
"We are almost back, hold on for a bit longer," she quickly told me. I nodded my head slightly and turned my long neck to see a few others being carried in bird form. Everyone was running back to the village as fast as they could. I continued panting and began thinking of all the bad things that could happen. Sera saw this and took me from the one that was carrying me. She looked down at me and smiled, trying to calm me back down. I huffed more, and then the pain dragged me back into unconsciousness.
(Who else thinks it is fun to say, chupacabra.. Huh? Am I the only one.. ok. Also, if y'all are wondering why they know so much about these creatures, just think of it like common knowledge about animals.)
