Scarlett pov back then~
I was flying above the land high in the sky. I was looking for anything strange when I saw a flash of bright blue and heard a shriek below me. I dived down to investigate it.
I landed on the ground quietly and hid behind a large tree. I peaked around it and saw a man in a half form with bright blue feathers. He had just killed a troll and was wiping the blood from his wings onto his pants. I was about to walk away, thinking it was just another person who liked to kill things for sport when I heard a laugh. I turned back to see a little centaur girl hugging his leg. He had saved her.
As I was watching them, I had accidentally brushed a branch with my wing and made him whip his head in my direction. I froze when his eyes landed on mine. They softened as he realized i was not a threat, and he looked like he was about to come over to me. I quickly took off into the sky and went back to my home. That was the first time we had met, and at the time, I thought it would be the last.
I saw him again in a field at night with a group of fairies flying around him. He was in his peacock form, but I knew it was him. I landed in the field a distance away from him. He watched me for a moment, then playfully fanned out his tail feathers and shook it around. I had giggled at his display, and he paused and tilted his head at me. I shook myself off and lit on fire, giving him a display of my own before I flew off.
One day, I was sleeping in my nest of burning coals in my cave at the top of the mountain and heard a small noise outside of my cave. I got up and poked my head out. I looked around and saw nothing, but when I was about to go back in, I saw a feather on the ground. It was a peacock feather. I smiled and picked it up with my beak and put it in my cave. I went back to sleep with a smile on my face.
Next, I was killing a few vampires that were bothering a village of elves. One of the vampires had on fireproof armor and was being a pain. I was about to attack him again when I saw a flash of blue. I looked at where he was and saw a pile of ashes. To the side was the man in his half form again. I had huffed at him and was about to take off when he called out to me.
"Wait!" He called, and I put my wings back down and turned my head to him. "I just wanted to say my name is Westley," he chuckled as he nervously scratched the back of his neck. I stayed silent for a moment.
"Scarlett," I responded quickly, then took off into the sky. I looked back down to see a smile on his face.
A month had passed, and I had not seen him again. I was a little sad and went out for a fly. I was scanning the ground for a sign of danger.. and him. I heard a loud roar in the distance and headed for it. A tiny part of me hoped it was him fighting something.
I flew over the area where I heard the sound and saw a large snake. It was a basilisk. I looked around, and there he was, bleeding and looking at the ground. A few werecats were huddled behind him in a bush. I watched as he dodged another attack from the basilisk but fell down and hit his head. The monster quickly looked into his eyes, taking advantage of his pain, and he froze.
I was overcome with rage and dived down on fire at the creature. I dug my talons into its thick scales, and it hissed and whipped its head to me. I quickly blew fire at it's face and it jerked away. It knew I was too strong for it and fled away, disappearing into a hole. I looked and saw the werecats had fled already. I walked over to Westley to see if he was alright. He had passed out from blood loss. After a moment of thinking, I snatched him up in a foot and flew to my cave.
When I reached my cave, I lay him on the ground. I shifted to my half human form and stared at him, wondering what to do. I walked over to a bucket of water I had and got a rag from somewhere. I cleaned his wounded stomach and head then wrapped it in more rags.
I sat against the wall and watched him breathe slowly. I had not been able to get a close look at him yet, so I took the chance to observe him. He was very tall, blue haired.. good looking. I shook off that last thought and closed my eyes. I did not sleep in my human form often, so I was slightly uncomfortable. I wrapped my wings around me and fell to sleep.
When I woke up, he was still passed out at my feet. I stood up and stretched out my wings. I stood over him and made sure he was not bleeding still. When my eyes traveled to his eyes, I was surprised to see they were open. I quickly moved back away from him. He smiled weakly and pushed himself onto his elbows.
He looked around him and then down at his stomach. "Thank you for helping me," he said sincerely and sat up rubbing his head. I nodded my head. "Sorry if I scared you," he chuckled as he looked me up and down. I frowned and walked around him.
"You did not scare me.. I was just not expecting you to be awake," I huffed and crossed my arms. He smirked at me and stood up.
"Okay. I have never seen you in your half human form before," he responded kindly.
"I prefer to be in my phoenix form, but I needed hands to fix you up," I sighed and went over to a couch I had in the corner. I motioned for him to come sit down. He sat at the other end of the couch. We sat in silence for a while.
"Why did you help me," he suddenly spoke, and my mind went blank.
"I.. I would help anyone if needed," I responded, flustered, and looked away from him. He moved closer to me.
"So you take any person you find hurt into your home," he mumbled beside me. I paused and turned to him, not realizing how close he had gotten. We were a foot apart.
"No.." I mumbled, and he drew closer to me. He smiled down at me, I held my breath as we were now an inch apart.
"So am I special," he whispered as he looked into my eyes.
"Yes.." I whispered back and closed the rest of the distance between us. Our lips met in a passionate kiss that grew deeper by the second. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he put his hands on my waist. He pushed me back onto the couch, covering my body with his.
Scarlett pov now~
"And that was how you came into existence," I finished with a bright smile. Felix looked at me, horrified, and I burst out laughing. "I am just kidding. We did not go that far. He decided to stay with me, then we wanted a kid," I finished for real. Felix looked a little less horrified.
"Now that is a better love story then Aurora and i," Steven chuckled and kissed the top of Aurora's head. Felix shook his head and sighed.
"I think I am going to sleep," he mumbled with a small smile. We all agreed and lay down to sleep. I grabbed some of the ashes and put them below me for added warmth and fell asleep.
