"kookie, I'm pregnant." taehyung blurted out, and he swear to all gods he saw Jungkook's eyes scream happiness. He was happy, until it lasted. His expression changed within just a snap, staring at taehyung with puzzled look the other can't put all the pieces to.
"w-why, k-kookie?" Taehyung asked, voice shaky. He flinched when Jungkook stood up, the dining chair he was sitting on earlier flew on the back.
"fuck." jungkook cursed, and taehyung heard it. It made his heart shutter into pieces.
"we can't- we can't keep it tae, we don't need a child! We're happy even it's just the two of us, right?" taehyung can't believe that this words would come out from Jungkook's mouth. He looked at him, tears in his eyes. Does he regret doing that with him now?
That night, something happened, and both of them knew it isn't just some sex- they were making love, and that act happened to result something, happened to create something inside Taehyung's womb. He's different among all the other guys, and he thought he's lucky that he has someone, like jungkook, who loves him and understands him for the way he was- but now he knows he is wrong, incredibly wrong.
"what are you saying, j-jungkook?" Taehyung choked out, making Jungkook stare at him, pain lingering in his eyes.
"we- we just can't keep t-that- we don't need it, Tae, could you understand me? We've been carrying a lot problems already and I'm already done taking care of them, its just- it's already too much." said Jungkook that made Taehyung broke out sobbing. Jungkook felt the urge to comfort him but he's afraid the other would push him away, because hell he was stupid for saying all that.
"you want me t-to get rid of it?" taehyung asked, and this time Jungkook stayed silent. He didn't utter even a single word.
Taehyung stood up, shook his head and walked upstairs, tears streaming on his precious face. Jungkook clenched his fist, sighed, then followed Taehyung upstairs. He found him stuffing all his clothes on a bag as he silently sob, breaking Jungkook into million pieces.
"T-tae-"
"Jungkook! Why do you have to be like this? You don't hear what you're saying. I love you kookie, with all my heart, and i value you- as much as i value our baby's life. I can't just get rid of it, and i won't do it! I thought you would be happy. I'll admit i had thoughts of maybe you don't want it but i thought you would make it all vanish away, but you just proved me wrong- hell you just proved me wrong." that's when Taehyung zipped the bag closed. He wiped out his tears and started to walk to the door, where Jungkook was standing while looking at him. He stopped for a moment.
"this isn't you Jungkook, this isn't you at all." he whispered and then took his leave. Since that day, they never heard of each other ever again.
TAEHYUNG clicked his tongue after that memory played in his head. Still stung, Taehyung thought to himself. He wasn't aware of the tears coming out from his eyes until his daughter, who is now on his embrace, had to wipe it out for him.
"Why are you crying, papa?" The ten years old girl asked her father, who only look at her and smile.
"Did i wake you up?" Taehyung asked softly and the girl just nod.
"I'm so sorry baby, you can go back to sleep now. Want me to sing for you?" Taehyung asked, but the girl shook her head.
"I'm not sleepy anymore, papa." The young girl smiled, sitting up on his father's lap. Taehyung smiled as he examine his daughter's face. The usual pale skin on display, but a lovely smile on her lips make Taehyung's worry vanish away. As long as his daughter is okay, that's enough reason for him to keep being sane.
