"Don't waste your time on me." taehyung said then entered his bedroom. Jungkook sighed as he locked eyes with Taehyung's mother, who mouthed him a sorry.
"Look, eomma, why don't we sniff some fresh air? we should go on a trip, my treat." Jungkook said.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, eomma. Can you be the one to let Taehyung know?" Jungkook asked.
"Why don't you do it?" Taehyung's mother chuckled.
"He won't listen to me." Jungkook pouted a little, working his charm.
"I won't go. You already get the answer, so don't even think of talking to me about it." Taehyung suddenly appeared on the kitchen to drink some water, then head back inside his bedroom.
"I'll talk to him." said Taehyung's mother.
At the end of the day, she managed to make Taehyung's decision took turns. The date was already set, and Jungkook couldn't be more happier. As if on fast forward, the three of them found themselves inside a hotel Jungkook had booked for Taehyung and his mother.
"Call me if you or Taehyung need anything, alright eomma?"
"Alright." Taehyung's mother smiled as she watched Jungkook leave them for a moment. He mentioned something about getting them dinner.
"Isn't he so sweet, Taehyungie?" Taehyung only shrugged. Does this really help him at all? No, because if this still continues, he would be attached to him once again— and he can't let that happen because he knows, anytime, he can leave them, him, heart broken. He doesn't want that, because that's the reason why he 'cheated' in the first place. He wants Jungkook to hate him.
It was a week of stay in the beach, but they weren't progressing. There wasn't an improvement in every aspect.
"Eomma, i'm going to walk outside for a while." Taehyung's mother immediately agreed, happy that Taehyung decided to go out even just for tonight.
"Alright, take your time all you want, taehyungie." Taehyung only nodded. He grab the handle of his oxygen tank and walked out the hotel room.
"Where are you going?" Jungkook asked, who was about to enter their hotel room.
"Out."
Jungkook grab the handle of the oxygen tank for Taehyung, then waited for him to start walking.
"What? I'm going with you."
"I'd like to walk alone."
"I don't care what you like, i said i'm going with you, now start walking." Jungkook said.
what a liar, Taehyung thought.
...
"Do you always have this whenever you go out?" Jungkook asked, talking about the oxygen tank. He noticed Taehyung doesn't wear the ones on his nose when he was in their house.
Taehyung only let out a hum as they walked through the sand.
"This is heavy, even with the handle on. Must be hard pulling this around."
"I hardly go out." Taehyung said, silencing Jungkook. This made him nod, then silence surrounded them again.
Taehyung sat on the sand once he felt tired walking. Jungkook only watched him silently, cleared his throat, then sat down beside him. He looked around, examining their surroundings while Taehyung stayed staring at the waves.
"Ouch." Jungkook looked at his arms only to see a lot of mosquito bites. He sighed once he remembered, he forgot to place a lotion for mosquitoes.
Jungkook was startled when Taehyung opened the lotion he brought with him, then started applying some on Jungkook's arm. He looks really focused on what he was doing, and Jungkook can't help but stare. He grab Taehyung's hand, getting his attention.
