° Catastrophe pt.1

“i like you, jeon jungkook! and i know it's wrong so please, don't distract me for doing my best to fucking ignore you because if i don't, i won't be fucking able to hold myself anymore!”

THIS is the first time Jungkook ever felt so dumb. How can he not know? How can he be so oblivious with everything? How can he not know what Taehyung really felt towards him when they're almost with each other 24/7? How can he be so stupid to not know, that his best friend for over 10 years has actually feelings for him, and it's in a romantic way?

Now he's confused. He's been contemplating. He's been.... regreting his life decisions for the last 8 hours of his life. He felt the need to talk to Taehyung again, and make things right— but how is he able to do that when his girlfriend, who he asked Taehyung to win over with because he really likes her, or so, is clinging to him as if her whole damn life depends on it.

"Oppa! Let's go together to the yacht!" She squealed in a high pitched voice, probably to act cute even though it doesn't come out the way she likes it. This is also the first time Jungkook wanted her to stop acting like that, because this time he found it so annoying... and cringing.

Jungkook just pulled off his arm away from his girlfriend's grip, then wandered around his gaze to look for someone. Taehyung.

They're currently making their way to the yacht because of this 5 days vacation they have won from the company competition that Jungkook and Taehyung competed. It was the prize for their whole department and there was one ticket left so when Yumi, Jungkook's girlfriend, knew about the vacation, she immediately squealed making the decision that she would be Jungkook's plus one so all could Jungkook do was to bring her.

He told Taehyung about this but then their conversation ended up with Taehyung confessing, because Jungkook was talking too much about Yumi and he just lost it. That's when Jungkook knew it was the reason why Taehyung had been distant to him these past few days.

"Tae, are you going as well?" Jungkook asked as long as he saw Taehyung making his way to the yacht and approached him. It was so obvious Taehyung was also coming but that's the only option Jungkook saw for him to be able to talk to Taehyung, again.

"He's obviously not coming, right Taeboong?" Yumi asked but Taehyung only batted his eyelashes instead of responding mean things that are now currently playing on his head.

"It's Taehyung, Yumi." Jungkook corrected but Yumi only flipped her hair. "But you're not coming? Then i won't come too—"

"I'll go. Now let's go to the yacht before it leaves, and don't you see your girlfriend? She's already itching to get to that yacht as if it's her first time in her dear life to ride that thing." and he still let out the mean response. For some reason, Jungkook found it hot— even though Taehyung actually insulted Yumi.

"Oppa! Didn't you heard him? He just insulted me!!" Yumi shouted dramatically and was about to throw a fucking tantrum as if she's a five years old kid when Jungkook started walking behind Taehyung and leaving her behind. Well not purposely, as he murmured 'let's just go' before he started walking away.

By the time they arrived to this certain island, the other island to be precise, the other tourists began to walk off the yacht and explore the whole tourist spot excused as an island. Yumi dragged Jungkook out to take pictures of her, and Jungkook would do so while his attention was one someone else.

"Argh, why are there no good pictures of me oppa? I thought you majored photography." Yumi complained as Jungkook scratched his nape. He knew he wasn't really focusing on Yumi that's why there's no good pictures of her that he took.

"Maybe i was just used on Taehyung being my model on photshoots, I'm sorry. Besides, my head also hurt. God i think i'm gonna puke." It was obviously a lie. Jungkook faked a gag only for Yumi to weakly hit his shoulder.

"Not here oppa, it's embarrassing to the others." Yumi said as he started taking pictures of herself. Jungkook just ignored her and wandered his eyes, once again, to look for Taehyung. He doesn't know but ever since he knew Taehyung actually likes him, he just want to talk to him about it so they could start something -that is not right- and stare at him the whole time he talks. Now he realized how precious Taehyung was to him.

Jungkook's eyes found Taehyung, and he spoiled them for staring at him everytime he got a chance. The time goes by and it's now time to go back to the yacht. Jungkook sighed because Taehyung still wasn't giving him attention. He's still ignoring him.

In the yacht, they were in the very back. There are barely peoples around as almost the majority of tourist are on the front deck, admiring the sun that is going to set. Yumi demanded for food, so she sent Jungkook to get him some from the catering inside with her puppy eyes that Jungkook get enough with that's why he end up defeated because he can't take it anymore.

By the time Jungkook was gone, Yumi approached Taehyung because she's not that dumb to not see that there was something going on that's why his boyfriend wants to give Taehyung more attention than her.

Taehyung was reviewing his photographs that time when Yumi decided to ruin his mood.

"You suck on taking pictures, Jungkook's more good than you." Yumi said, her arms crossed to her chest.

"So? I'm not even competing." Said Taehyung even though what Yumi said hurted his pride because ever since him and Jungkook started doing photography together, he was always been envying him for being so effortlessly good at everything he does.

"I just want to make you realize you're not worthy for my boyfriend's attention." This made Taehyung confused. What does she even meant by that?

"And you think you are? Yeah, live your life with lies the way you like it." Taehyung said, totally unbothered.

"Ugh you're getting into my nerves!" Yumi stomped her feet as if throwing a tantrum.

"Just the way i like it." Taehyung said and was about to walk away when Yumi grab his camera and threw it on the ocean. Taehyung's eyes was wide as saucers as he look at his floating camera.

"Why did you do that?!" Taehyung screamed, making Yumi flinch but she still made him see that she's not affected at all.

"Serves you right." She smirked. Taehyung was still thinking on how he would get it back but it would be risky, and he doesn't even know how to goddamn swim.

"Oh you want to get it? Here, let me help you." Taehyung was about to turn around when Yumi took all her strength to push Taehyung off the yacht. Taehyung screamed in fright, but it wasn't enough for peoples on the front deck to hear him because of their blasting music. But it was enough for one person with tray of foods in his hands. Jungkook.

"What the fuck?!" Yumi surely flinched this time, hearing Jungkook's voice from behind. She immediately turned around and stared at him. She was about to tell him they should go inside but Jungkook only pushed her as he ran to the edge of the back deck of the yacht.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Yumi?! He doesn't know how to fucking swim!" That's when Jungkook took off his shoes, threw it on the wooden floor and wasted no time to jump into the water to get Taehyung.

Fortunately, the yacht wasn't on its full speed so the other island's shore was still on view. Jungkook swam towards Taehyung, where the said one was struggling to stay on surface. Yumi pushing Taehyung off wasn't worth it at all, because he doesn't had enough time to even get his camera before it sinked down.

Jungkook struggled to take Taehyung and himself back to the shore because there's no way the yacht will turn back around for them especially with a dumbo excused as his girlfriend was just standing at the back deck, staring at them with fright, looking so terrified.
