You shuddered a bit when you heard her voice. And then she walked into the room.

Eunchae was quick to speak up. "When I met her, it was because some asshole slapped her and I caught her before she could hit the ground," she explained. She was overcome with worry for you, not knowing how or why you were more hurt than she had even noticed. "I don't know how she could've gotten hurt on the shoulder."

You looked up after a few moments of the room being engulfed in a tense silence, only to meet the eyes of Huh Yunjin, in the flesh. You nearly passed out from fright when you did, but you were more scared of what might happen if you were to look away. You've heard rumors about her that weren't very pretty.

She was dressed in a nice suit that fit her slim figure well. She looked powerful and mean. Her face was cold and she looked upset. But you must admit, she's very attractive.

It only took her a few steps to be standing right in front of you from where you were sitting at the edge of the bed. She leaned down a bit, her hands stuffed in her pockets. When her face was level with yours, she looked deep into your eyes.

"I'll ask again. Who... hurt you?" She asked-well, more like demanded. Her tone of voice left no room for any form of denial. "And be honest," she added.

You continued to look into her eyes, scared yet also unable to look away. Entranced. "U-Uhm... my- m-my-" you paused to gulp quietly, "my now ex-boyfriend," you finally admitted. You were beyond nervous.

"Hm. How and why?" She spoke calmly, but you could tell with just one look at her face that she was pissed off. But you don't know why.

Now you feel embarrassed. You had gotten yourself hurt by him because of a mistake you had made. But you have to explain it anyway, no matter how you feel about the situation. You bowed your head. "It was completely my fault. I had gone out with his friend to pick out a gift for him since he got promoted, and the friend and I hugged before we parted ways. I'm sorry."

As soon as you finished speaking, Yunjin scoffed loudly. "Oh my fucking God, I literally hate men sometimes," she mumbled under her breath, but you could all hear it. You heard one of the women trying to keep their laughter in. Yunjin looked around after taking a deep breath. "Everybody out. I need to speak to Y/N alone for a minute," she demanded.

Your eyes widened and immediately shot to Eunchae, who could only offer you a sympathetic smile. She leaned down to whisper in your ear, "Unnie isn't as bad as everyone makes her out to be, Y/N-ssi. I promise you that." And with those final words, she scurried out of the room.

Now it was just you and Huh Yunjin. All alone. Your cheeks flushed pink. You were admittedly feeling a little shy and nervous under her gaze, for some reason.

"Hey, I don't bite, you know. Unless I have to," she suddenly joked. "Seriously, though, you don't have to be so scared around me. I'm not going to hurt you," she added.

Your eyes widened as you looked up at her. You repeatedly bowed at her, especially since she was making her way to crouch down in front of you. "I'm so sorry," you apologized.

She shook her head. She carefully placed a hand on your knee, looking into your eyes to make sure you were alright. You didn't move a muscle. "I need you to know something," she began, voice thick with a serious timbre. You nodded slowly. "Your boyfriend... or... your ex-boyfriend has no right to put his hands on you like that. He's an asshole for that. You didn't do anything wrong."

You broke eye contact with her after she said that, you gaze falling to look at your hands. You fiddled with your fingers in your lap. You didn't respond. She sighed.

"Look, just know that you won't have to deal with him at all after this, okay?"

You nodded without hesitation. You were happy about that. Living with him for the last year was torture for you, and not just because of his violent behaviour, but also because of his lifestyle. It was simply too unhealthy for you, and most of your time was dedicated to cleaning up his messes if you weren't doing anything else important. It was literal hell for you because of that and the physical violence. His occasional drinking didn't help the recipe for disaster, either.

And you didn't feel like questioning Yunjin about what she meant by you not having to deal with him anymore, because you feel like you already know the answer.

You were startled when she suddenly stood up, only to place a hand on either side of you and lean down so that her face was only inches away from yours. "No one will ever touch you again under my watch," she whispered.

"Oh, and one more thing," she abruptly stated, patting your knee before backing up and casually shoving her hands into her pockets.

You raised an eyebrow, curious as to what she would say, yet still taken aback from her actions just a few seconds ago.

She smirked.

"Forget your ex. I'll treat you like a princess here, baby girl."
